Chains of Olympus bug?

I've had a customer come into where I work today saying that the square button doesn't allow Kratos to dive underwater, yet he can attack as usual (which means that the PSP is ok). So just in case it's that disc not sending over any core information, we pop a different disc into his PSP and he gets to some water in the Caves of Olympus and lo and behold he can't dive underwater.

We also tried it in my own PSP and the same thing happened. Is this a glitch or are we missing something vitally important here?

More than likely its a glitch, since both PSP's have the same problem with the same game.

If it was the game, then the second disc should have worked...

Turns out though that all he had to do was get an item that must have already been aquired in the demo. He's now got the item and finished the game. :D
