Marowak?

Most recomended movesests for a Competitive Marowak see it using Fire Punch as o eliminate it's weakness to grass (also takes care of walls like Bronzong and Skarmory).

I have been playing around with some breeding and I have managed to get a Cubone with Belly Drum and Rest and a Cunbone with Swords Dance. But the one thing I can't get onto my Cubones is the move Fire Punch.

I have tried breeding my Cubone with an Ampharos that knows Fire Punch, and Ampharos is in the same egg group as Cubone. I have looked on serebi and smogon to see if there is a way I am over looking, but I haven't seen that way yet.

Does anybody know how I can get Fire Punch onto my Cubone?

BTW, I have seen that it learns the move from the Emerald Move Tutor. I want to know if there is any other way of getting the move onto Cubone.

Nope that is the only way to do it.

Bring it in on something thats scared of it, and sub then you get your free sd and go into overdrive. This set is nice with para/bp support.

The reason is: Fire Punch is not an egg move or TM, therefore there are no means of passing it. Move Tutor is your only choice.

Belly Drum Marowak sounds amazing, but he's way too slow for it. The much better option is Linoone or Charizard, or Smeargle-pass to Medicham.

For Skarmory, Stone Edge should do plenty.

I actually have a Bellyzard and that's what I used to pass Belly Drum down. After a while I switched to Snorlax to breed because it kept saying "Cubone and Charizard don't like each other much" which took longer to make eggs. That's how it got rest.

I have posted in the wifi thread looking for a Fire Punch Cubone, so anybody with one please post there.

If you have Emerald, can't you just teach it Fire Punch and move him over without issue?

And, as far as Marowak goes, I actually like Bonemerang over Earthquake because of the fact that you can break a Sub AND deal damage in the same turn. Yeah, the occasional miss sucks, but it hits more often than not (especially at SE vs Tyranitar, that's ALWAYS nice).

I don't have Emerald...I have Ruby and Sapphire.

I'm still debating if I'm going to use Boomerang or Earthquake, pretty much for the reasons you stated dre.

I'd go Earthquake as CM Raikou and Jirachi aren't all that common, nor is TyraniBoah anymore.

If you have FRLG you can use those, you can also get Emerald for like 40% off at the upcoming Darkrai event. Yes, the tutors are worth it.

Of course, you'd have to breed Belly Drum onto Cubone IN emerald.

Looks fine, but make sure you get Rock Head as the ability.
