What foods are well known were you come from that people in other parts of the country are never likely to have heard of?

One of answers in another thread made me think of this, Chicken Parmesans, I have no idea were they originate but Im told by many only people in the North East of England eat them, I love them if done properly.

How about where i live we have a pie called "Shoo Fly" pie. It's basically nothing but dark molasses, sugar, and flour on pie crust. Really good, almost too sweet, and very filling(two pieces makes me feel full).

Baklava. I'm not sure if its a delecacy here, but it's expensive and reallly good. But you can only buy one brand of it in my area.
Its really good. It's like a bunch of little tiny think pieces of bread and a little syrup with some type of nuts in it then some more syrup and then alot more lil bread.
