Before I evolve these pokemon, I need to know where they currently stand at the moment.

Magmar Lv:43 @N/A
Nature: Rash
EVs: 252-Atk, 160-Speed, 96-Hp
Overheat
Confuse Ray
Thunderpunch
Mach Punch/Brick Break

I guess you could call it a poor attempt at a mixed sweeper. I thought with Overheat I would inflict a lot of damage, and not have to deal with the drop in Sp.Atk.

Dusclops Lv:43 @Leftovers
Nature: Impish
EVs: 196-Atk, 252-Hp, 60-Sp.Def
Fire Punch
Shadow Punch
Pain Split
Wil-O-Wisp

I thought this would be a decent wall particularly against Heracross.

Also, I was planning to breed a Turtwig and I'm can't decide which would be the beter move to breed for Amnesia or Superpower. I know Torterra is really weak against Ice moves and its Sp.Def is average at best. So I thought Amnesia could perhaps reinforce that problem. What do you think?

Before I evolve these pokemon, I need to know where they currently stand at the moment.

Magmar Lv:43
Nature: Rash EVs: Atk-(252), Spd-(160), HP-(96)

Moveset:
Overheat
Confuse Ray
Thunderpunch
Mach Punch/Brick Break

Rash nature kills def while boosting sp.att, which i guess you balanced by going with attacking EVs. What's the item? Flamethrower over overheat unless you seriously want to go kamakaze or hit and run. i'd get rid of confuse ray, maybe for flamethrower, so you have some options on STAB

Dusclops Lv:43
Nature: Impish EVs: Atk-(196), HP-(252), Sp.Def-(60)

Moveset:
Fire Punch
Shadow Punch
Pain Split
Wil-O-Wisp

Not much to say here.

seems pretty tidy, sometime syou can run focus punch but i know next to nothing on dusclops.

suggestions in bold.

what are the items?

it's easier for the reader and the writer to post the pokemon like this:

*Pokemon name* @ *Item*
*Nature*
*EVs:*
- *move*
- *move*
- *move*
- *move*

so your magmar would be:

Magmar @ ???
Rash nature
EVs: 252 att, 160 speed, 96 hp
- overheat
- confuse ray
- thunder punch
- Mach punch/Brickbreak

Amnesia on Torterra still won't save it from strong Ice Beams and Superpower is in general handier. Plus you'll always find that you won't have time to use Amnesia.

You really only should be keeping Torterra in on Physical not ice attacks.

Wait .. I actually (successfully) used an Amnesia Torterra once. It went:

Seed Bomb (no one likes recoil)
Earthquake
Leech Seed
Amnesia

Every time I got prediction right, this thing was actually pretty cool. Smacked the hell out of a few guys and Ice Beam, after two Amnesias, only did about25-30%. From PorygonZ. Leech Seed > Blissey after you hit an Amnesia, too.

The main problem with Amnesia is that moves like Ice Punch will get around it. Ice Beams will still murder it, too. Just run if you think they'll use an Ice move, find a way to beat that pokemon, then Torterra is safer.

Wood Hammer does 33% more damage to things than Seed Bomb and is Torterra's main advantage over other Grass types, so I'd highly recommend it. The recoil's not too bad as long as you don't hit Bliss with it.

Also, you could do Yache Berry to survive one Ice move.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions on Torterra.

I'll take them all into account, but what about the two pokemon.

Where do they stand in competition?

Also the item Life Orb, does it increase the damage of Sp.Atk as well as Atk? If so, I may consider using it on Magmar (Magmortar).

Yes life orb would work or him, or if you want more then 11 turns with him you can always put lefties on him.
