Horrible day for me, one of my favorite bands has broken up today. Brandon sent out a bulletin via myspace that stated TREOS would no longer be making music, due to him becoming a father. I don't think there could be a better reason, but I'm still pretty sad about it. Between the Heart and Synapse was, in my opinion, the greatest "post-hardcore" record ever created, and will remain that way. I even loved the not so popular The Earth Sings Mi Fa Mi, and it's a huge shame to see them just go like this.

Rumor is Ryan (think that's his name) will replace Fred in TBS.

Truly sucks though.

Oh, well that sucks. Sad to see them break up, I thought they were very innovative for the type of music people grouped them in. Between the Heart and Synapse was such an awesome album. I liked The Earth Sings Mi Fa Mi too, but it seemed a little "empty" without Casey.

I listened to The Earth Sings Mi Fa Mi a little one time, I found it really nasal and generic.

Have you listened to Between the Heart and Synapse?

It's incredibly better

Really? I feel like my ears are getting gangbanged whenever I listen to TREOS. There's just so much layering and so much going on.

Which to me, is a great thing. The harmonies on BtHaS are pure sex.

I've got to admit, the mixing on that album is incredible... there's so much going on and somehow it works. I'm certainly far from happy about the break-up... they were decent live and (as cliched as it sounds) real nice guys too.

Damn, didn't know it was this old, but giving it a bump.

The last show was tonight or last night. Casey played the whole 22 song set. Apparently it was really amazing and it sucks cool bands come from so far away from me.

Have you watched the videos online?

They were awe-inspiring. Anyways, I heard from a guy I know that there were some pretty professional looking cameras filming the show...here's hoping for a DVD...

Nope, and if that's true I wouldn't want to risk it on people's ****ty cameraphones.
