I read a while ago that, I believe, MTV, was going to do, with different bands covering SoaD songs and possibly them making an appearance.

I remember it cause I was appaulled at seeing them giving Eminem X.

So, maybe I'm way late on this, I dunno, but did it or is it going to happen?

I remember the Metallica one being absolutely diabolical. Perhaps after that car-crash they decided not to bother with a SoaD one.

Probably because MTV is too busy showing off spoiled sixteen year old girls and people going on stupid blind dates or fooling around with their exes to do anything music related.

So they're not going to do it anymore then I take it?

I have no idea, I was being a smartass.

Have you tried searching MTV.com?

Not yet, I try avoiding stuff like going on MTV.com or in Hollister and such, but I didn't find it on MTV.com originally, it was on some SoaD fansite, so I figured I'd ask you guys before I did something I hate doing.

I found the guy's blog, and he claims that bands like Tool and Dream Theater are performing songs alongside Korn and Eminem?

Not only can I not see Tool or Dream Theater playing SOAD songs, I can't see them appearing on MTV. Hell, MTV's fanbase don't even know who Dream Theater are.

I find nothing about this on MTV.com, so I imagine it's just some random rumor.

Probably, which while it sort of sucks in a sense, it also is really good we won't have to hear Eminem corrupt their music.

They did one for Metallica? Really? Didn't know that, what happened?

From what I heard, Sum 41 did a decent job of their cover, can't remember what they played though.

Other than that...yeah.

Korn? Snoop Dogg? Didn't Avril attempt a cover too?

Yeah it was a trainwreck.

Yeah Avril did "Fuel". And I kinda liked the way KoRn did "One". And I think the point was that all musicians like Metallica. I think that was why they had such broad musicains do all the songs.

Snoop Dogg can barely pull off his own songs, sheesh.

This is false. I saw Snoop Dogg in concert at Projekt Revolution, and he got more props from us white folk than Less Than Jake and The Used put together.

Snoop was on target during his set, and his backing drummer wasn't half bad either.

I may not be a fan of rap as a whole, but I respect the Do-double-gizzle. Fo sho.

Heh, well then maybe I'm still pissed off because of how terrible his latest radio venture was.

Drop it like it's hot wasn't too bad, but still, his last one was just... gah.

WTF d00ds?

Well he's the lesser of the 3 evils, so that's no surprise. I absolutely can't stand rap/hip hop, but I can at least tolerate snoop if he's on the radio and the dial isn't being changed.
