the only thing i know of that will increase ur chances of catching shinies (not including AR and that sort of thing) is pokeradar.

yes pokemon will stay shiny when evolved.

Nato is correct on the evolution question, I would think the same applies to the Eevee question. I would doubt that AR or any game of the sorts would have an option that increases your chance of a shiny, you can get shiny pokemon via the AR the same way you could get a level 1 Diglia.

i know that there is an AR cheat that changes ur chances of the wild pokemon u see being shiny to 100%.
so basicly every pokemon u ecounter is shiny.

Before people ask:
Shininess isn't passed down by breeding.
Your chances of encountering a shiny are 1 in 8,125 or so.
ALWAYS catch a shiny if you see one, for some people will trade anything for them.
Shinies aren't guaranteed to have good/bad IVs like in Gold and Silver; the odds of IVs are exactly the same.
Using the Pokéradar doesn't increase the actual odds, it just lets you check 6 or 7 Pokémon at once.
If you want shinies, use the Pokéradar or just get really lucky.
Certain things have never been distributed as shiny (Celebi, Jirachi, Wish Blissey/Hypno/Anything) and thus are fake if they are shiny.

If you go into grass while not on a Bike and use the Pokéradar, some of the grass squares wiggle. Go into one of these squares for a guaranteed Pokémon encounter.

Even if you have some kind of repel on, you will still meet the Pokemon.

When you chain you have to use repels, or there's no point, also once you get to 40 you should stop and keep resetting the radar for a shiny patch, today i got lucky and found a shiny doduo on 17. But that's just lucky i guess. Keep trying and eventually you'll get one. Try swarming pokemon that makes it easier.

I believe the chances of encountering a shiny pokemon are something in the region of 1-7800, so you have to get really lucky.

i think i can recall somebody mentioning that there is a glitch in one of their pokemon games that means the person encountered nothing but shiny zubat on a particulat square, as to whether it's true or not I don't know.

Edit: If you're a UK gamer, the Action Replay DS features a code making all pokemon you encounter shiny, but that takes away from the specialness of shiny pokemon.

yes,but that was an Emulator on a PC and a emulator rom,so its probanbly because of that, nothing else,i also didnt ask how to get a shiny or what is a chance of getting shiny-es,but i asked is there a glitch or cheat for that, get it?

...and we've told you no several times now outside of AR and chaining. So yeah. Also, threads are for discussion IMO, not just for directly answering the OP...

so,does it means if i chain with pokeradar, its bigger chance to encounter a shiny, huh?

Yes, but it's still quite rare.

Chris is me, threads can also be made for questions as well as discussion. Gamewinners =/= Smogon.

MasterToshima, going by your rules I was perfectly within my rights to post the action replay cheat and the glitch. You asked if there were any glitches, cheats or anything to help get shiny pokemon. I answered your question.

using the pokeradar, your chances of getting a shiny can't increase by much, because I've been using the pokeradar for a while now and not encountered a single shiny.

You need to get a chain of about 40 for the chances to increase noticably.

Also, Cheese Warrior, I think you miss the point of Chris' post; he's saying that just because the OP asks a question (or questions), that doesn't mean you're not allowed to discuss other related stuff (in this case, shinies) in the thread. He's not saying that threads are for discussion only.

Here is a guide (http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/showthread.php?t=19695) for chaining Pokemon to catch a shiny. Sounds easy enough although I haven't tried catching a shiny yet since I don't find it that important.
