Looks like Valve really is paying some attention to us after all :)....

Anyway, from what I noticed from the update...

When you fire your gun or use a melee weapon you'll get a rumble (a strong one)

Also, if your going to host it'll determine how much you can put in your party and force you to stay in that limit.

Also, the backstab bug still lives :(.

What have you guys noticed?

The PC got a soldier and demoman nerf yesterday where your guns only hold 16 rockets/nades/stickies in reserve now. I have been terrible ever since.

We don't have that. They still have there regular ammo....

Can't imagine how that's like for you.... wasn't the 4 grenade limit on the demoman already enough?

Yeah, now there is only 16 reserve, good bye spamming. I guess the spy has some competition now for worse class. Unless there are a couple of dispensers up.

The Demoman and Soldier nerfs don't really make much sense to me. The Soldier was powerful, but somewhat limited, which is the entire point. I have my doubts as to how well that will work out. The Demoman nerf just makes no sense. The class is so weak in so many areas that it seems to odd to limit one of the few things that it excels at.

Really teams can get by with Soldiers, Medics, and Demos. Maybe one of heavy, spy, engineer, sniper, and scout, but they aren't really needed. I have played with some amazing soldiers that this won't effect simply because they always find a way to win.

I've given up on Demoman and taken up Soldier or something else on every map except Dustbowl, since it's still Dustbowl.

* Fixed a medic invulnerability exploit.
* Fixed grenades going through players or buildings.
* Fixed exploit with rockets causing damage through thin walls.
* Fixed exploit allowing snipers to fire faster than intended.
* Fixed exploit allowing players to teleport with the intelligence.
* Fixed exploit attaching sappers to buildings through walls.
* Fixed spy backstab exploit.
* Fixed spy being able to attack without dropping his disguise.
* Medics no longer heal enemy spies when they're not disguised.
* Tweaked autobalance calculations.
* When an engineer dies in sudden death, his buildings explode.
* Fixed stats sometimes not reporting correctly.
* Added a dialog to indicate when the host shuts down the server.
* Added rumble to TF weapons.
* Fixed ping column sometimes getting hidden in some resolutions.
* Added 10 and 14 player game sizes.
* Prevent hosts selecting game sizes above their bandwidth limits.
* Improved handling of large network packets to eliminate bandwidth spikes.
* Reduced respawn times for smaller games.

There's the whole update from what IGN said... although the backstab glitch is still there, just not as often.

Didn't notice the sudden death engineer one though. That is a terrible idea... I get bored when am just there wacking my sentry for 2 hours....

Now let's hope for some DLC maps :).

I honestly just noticed the engineer's stuff exploding in SD tonight in a Hydro match. Now that I know I will never be engineer in sudden death again since the spy just came up right behind me and backstabbed me with no consequences of being destroyed by my sentry.

* Added 10 and 14 player game sizes.
* Prevent hosts selecting game sizes above their bandwidth limits. Those two will go a long way to helping the latency issues on the 360.

Looks like they do care about consoles too... They want the maps to be free :).

I wonder if there is a way for Valve to run the updates through the marketplaces and let people have it. Of course XBL is going to want something if people are going have to download it through them, but I guess this is just another advantage for PC and having Valve servers.

You mean getting updates or DLC?...

total bummer about the overhealer though D:

Having free DLC for the 360 would be a very good move on behalf of Valve. It would improve their standing considerably amongst console gamers. To be honest a lot of the DLC charges are extortionate, and I'm surprised that this trend has not died down yet.

:bump:
This isn't too old is it?

Why is it that Microsoft and Sony find the need to force players to pay for DLC? Don't they get enough money other ways?
I like that both Valve and Epic (2 developers I respect a lot) are trying to keep their DLC free of charge.
