. . . comes out TODAY! Anyone here have it? I am going to have to live vicariously through others (and YouTube videos) for the meantime because I'm out of money.

But I've heard Wax Simulacra, Goliath, and Aberinkula and I think Aberinkula is my favorite so far. Creepy video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=4qN1EGJ_TbU), though . . .

Ouroborous is awesome

As is the whole album

Second favorite TMV album, definately came back from the disappointment of Amp. Also, they've written the whole next three albums already. They've recorded/mastered a few songs as well, so I would fully expect TMV to start releasing albums like the Omar Rodriguez Lopez group, about 2 per year. The new song they played at the new years eve show is absolutely awesome.

I own this album and I love it. I don't think it was nearly as good as their debut, but it was still good.

BTW what is up with all of the hating on Amputechture.

I miss him too...

But I gotta admit, Pridgen is doing one hell of a job. Wax Simulacra=absolutely godly

It's pretty good, but just as obtuse as the other records. It'll take me many more spins to get my head properly around it and judge it properly.

The same problem they had with Frances the Mute. TMV (god I want to call them At the Drive-In, would be so much better too if Ward were involved) have some great moments of music in each song, but I can't listen to them unless its on Itunes so I can just skip to the crescendo of each song when they exhibit their greatness. Its the same feeling I get when I listen to classic rock, too much downtime that doesn't relate to the buildup
