Album covers... (and compliation question)

I haven't registered my iPod Nano yet, but I've been wondering why the album covers I've already seen on the thumbnails in my music folder don't transfer themselves to my iPod.

Also, what exactly does selecting a song as "Part of a compliation" do?

I think the compilation thing is for shuffling... I think it tells iTunes that its music that belongs together whether you choose to shuffle or not. Like if you had a classical concert or a movie score or a musical or something that really needs to be listened to in order under any circumstances.

And I can't seem to find it right now, but there's some sort of setting for whether or not you want artwork on your iPod.

There's an option to get artwork using iTunes, but apparantly you need an account to do it. But I get the feeling that even if I did that it wouldn't get the artwork I want in there...

Is there anywhere I can confirm the compliation thing? I know that some songs by seperate artists seem to appear in different albums in my iPod because it's by different people for example.

Okay, if you select a bunch of songs from one album that aren't automatically grouped into the same album you can go into change their info to make them part of a compilation, and that's what a compilation does... y'know... the 'help' section in the iTunes menu :tease2:

As for getting the artwork... any music that is sold on iTunes will probably be recognized by it and found. It worked with a bunch of old CDs I had.

Heh, I was considering checking that out, but it never seems to have the info I need in previous attempts with other applications. Then again, this is the first Apple program I've used. ;)

Now, what about artwork for said compliations? Say you want to put singles (for example I have the singles for the Naruto opening and ending themes... yes, they go on general release in Japan) into one "album" but want to fix a picture of my choosing as an artwork...
