I realized entirely too much time has been spent explaining the basic beliefs of the three Abrahamic religions, so here's a quick cheat sheet so hopefully we can avoid repeating these ad nauseam in the future. Corrections and additions are welcomed and encouraged.

BeliefJewishChristianMuslim Founding ProphetsAbrahamJesus of NazarethMuhammed Other ProphetsAdam, Moses, Ezekiel, Job, Sarah, Samuel; the Tanakh and Talmud record 55 male and female prophetsVaries; the major Jewish prophets and John the Baptist are usually considered to be true prophetsAdam, Moses, Noah, Abraham, David, Jesus of Nazareth; 25 are specifically named in the Qur'an Major WorksTanakh, TalmudOld and New Testaments; the Old Testament draws from the TanakhQur'an, numerous Hadiths; much of the Qur'an draws from the Tanakh Works or Faith?WorksVaries; traditionally faith, although good works are encouraged? Both? Heaven and Hell? No, No; Earthly kingdom, dead risen bodilyYes, YesYes, Yes Only True Religion??Yes?YesNo; Muhammed noted that Judaism and Christianity are also God's works, but the two have been perverted over time by man; followers of *true* Judaism and Christianity follow Allah's path

...or if everyone thinks it's a stupid idea, I'll take it down and hate you all forever.

Not sure if posting here is necessary, but since I repped you recently, I just wanted to toss out a "great idea."

I'm glad you took the initiative to make this. I just hope others will view it the next time they're unsure about one of the religion's belief systems.

The bottom entry under Muslim was interesting. Wouldn't Mormons though say the same thing about their prophet?

BTW, love the thread ;)

Actually Mohammad did not believe he was establishing a new religion, but was reviving the original religion of Abraham...I guess it depends on how you interpret it.
