As anyone played this game?
Its Guitar Hero, but for the PC.
You can add you own songs and customize the frets and everything!!!

Any opinions on it?

Yes don't get it. Get guitar hero. It crashes too much and it's controls are too shaky.

Maybe if you enjoy picking up your keyboard and using it as a guitar, like a cheap knock off of guitar hero, and love it's inability to be compatible with any computer, then sure, maybe I'll play it.

I dont hold it like a guitar, I just play it as it is.
And yes it is a cheap knock off, it says it on the site.

And you're still playing it why?

Because its fun, and since I dont have Guitar Hero now (i will in a couple of months) its a good alternitive.

There. Chances are anyone who has heard of FoF has heard of guitar hero or had it. It's only good for people to fail at guitar hero.

If you have Guitar Hero 2 for Xbox360 or 3 for the PC (not sure if gh3 for 360 is USB or wireless) than there is absolutely no reason NOT to get Frets on Fire. It's worked on every computer I've installed it on without hassle, and the USB controller works with it, the only difference is that you have pretty much an unlimited song selection, and it plays the same way minus the "Star Power". I used to play it before I could pay for GH2, and while holding the keyboard may feel kind of weird, holding a little plastic guitar is just as silly =P. I must say though that I play FoF more than guitar hero due to the sheer number of songs you can get.

It's only good for people to fail at guitar hero.

Might I add, there are also harder songs, which is why people tend to play a different GH2 at my college.

Also, if he's enjoying the game I don't see any point in constantly trying to bash FoF players and trying to get him to stop playing it =P

Hardly, a plastic guitar is much easier than playing guitar with a keyboard.

I'm not bashing FoF players. I'm just saying, that guitar hero is a much better choice to get.

You mean, like playing an actual keyboard (you know, a synth)?

Sure, Guitar Hero is a much better choice, but is it free? Can you play your own music? Frets on Fire is an awesome game, once you get used to it, it comes as natural as playing a fake guitar.

fun gameplay, but get a sturdy keyboard.

note that some people don't want to pay the full cost of a console game when they can get it for free.

I know you want those 15 posts badly, but leave old threads alone. If it's been dead for more then 2 weeks, well ignore it. Bumping dead threads is consider SPAM if you bother to actually read the rules ;)
