Made this along time ago, for a other forum.

Because I felt to pump up the hip-hop heads here, I decided to finally post this list of hip-hop albums that I've been working with for a very long time ago. I realized on this forum, that the number of hip-hop heads on this board is less than a handful. So, while this will likely be nothing more than an ignored list(at best, hopefully this doesn't turn into a 'rap sucxxorz' thread), I still feel compelled to post this. The crate/MP3 file digging was fun for me, at the very least. In the genre of hip-hop, it's diverse, as the artists range from silver-age, golden-age, and now, featuring artists who're still dominating the airwaves today, and emcees who're still trying to catch a break after over a decade in the game. The thing that separates rap and hip hop is that you should be able to dance to hip hop despite it sounding like rap, which you cannot generally dance to without a lot of imagination. Rap is often an element of hip hop, but the two are different. To be honest I think you've drifted over to the rap side of things quite a lot in that list. I know the lines have blurred even more recently, and a lot of what would traditionally be called 'hip hop' has either just become rap, or has blended to a softer version of hop hop and almost sounds like R'n'B. Even so, you're missing quite a few mainstream albums there from more popular artists that could really be construed as the modern form of hip hop. Just because they're softer than conventional hip hop it doesn't avoid the fact that they are very good to dance to and work just the same way as hip hop should.

But Eminem is still has made his good records, and ofcourse some Raps, these were the songs however that I liked mostly of em but true, thanks for correcting my mistake in the list however did you review the others aswell?

I'm not strictly commenting on the quality of Eminem's music. That's really just a matter of individual taste. I just thought it was worth raising the point that, like it or not, you're pushing it to construe his music as hip hop.

I glanced over the rest of the list, but to be honest I'm not a huge fan of this type of music. I do like it, but not to the extent where I have hip hop collections. I only listen to it because my girlfriend is a dancer, and four years of watching her dancing has made me like the music that she dances to, which includes hip hop because she does hip hop and streetdance styles of dancing. So if truth be told I don't recognise most of the artists on that list, and even those that I do I only know a few songs.
