How do I make the berry plants give off more than 2 berries at a time? Ive sat there and watered them for god knows how long and they still only produce 2 berries. It's startin 2 annoy me.....:bashhead:

Different berries give different amounts when you plant them. I beleive you can't change how many you get. [unless I'm mistaken]

I think the more you water them, the mor eberries you get. Sometimes I get 2 Berries, sometimes I get 4 or 5.

They have reduced the amount of berries you'll get from the trees, I think. It was a huge disappointment to find a new berry tree and pick a mere one berry, while games for GBA always had at least two berries per newfound tree.

Pinap, Bluk, Wepear, Razz and Nanab still produce more berries than other trees, though not as much as they used to. Lum and a few other special berries are the toughest ones to make grow more than one berry. They need ridiculous amounts of water and take long time to grow.

By that "Pinap etc. don't give as many berries as they used to" I meant that nowadays I can be happy if I manage to harvest four berries per tree, while in R/S/E it was fairly easy to get six berries with the same amount of water and growth time. Fertilizers are there to fix that, but I hardly ever remember which Mulch did what, and I end up losing entire harvest or screwing up in other ways.

Oh, and in case you don't know what fertilizers do:
Growth Mulch speeds up the growth of Berries. However, it also dries the soil faster. Berries grow in 3/4 th the normal time, and works well on rare berries (Salac, Liechi, etc., I believe, and Spelon, Belue, etc.) by greatly decreasing the growth time. Hah, I lost a Pamtre tree when I used this. Didn't water it enough, I reckon.
Damp Mulch slows the growth of Berries and causes the soil to dry slower, increasing the growth time by half. It helps to achieve maximum harvest from a fast growing berry (such as Pinap, Bluk, etc.). I haven't used this, really. I think I can have more berries without this and waiting for a longer time, I'm not patient enough.
Stable Mulch makes fully grown Berries stay on their plants for a longer time before falling and disappearing. If I planted a berry during night time or before schoolday starts, it might be good to use this, especially if the berry takes only a few hours to grow. I won't lose the harvest while I'm asleep or doing something else.
Gooey Mulch ups the number of times new plants grow where mature plants withered without harvesting. So, if you didn't remember to pick the berries it's more likely that the place has a new sprout growing instead of losing both the tree and the harvest. Extremely handy if you have only one berry of some species and wish to grow more, and are afraid of forgetting to harvest the berry tree. I use this a lot on Lum trees.

Look at the ground were you planted them at. if its dark color then its good. If its a bit brighter you don't have to water it yet and if its very light you must water it. Once I got a glitch were I got 32 berries from one tree don't remember the berry I planted.

If you water them once or twice you'll always get at least 2. I think there's a Berry guide somewhere on the Internets, but I forget where.

Which reminds me, I really need to pick my Salac and Lum Berries.

but i swear that i could sit for like 10 minutes watering a kelpsy/other EV decreasing berries and still get 2 berries from it.

The key isn't to water over and over again, but to water multiple times as it's growing. Like when the soil is dry. Not all at once.
