No luck on Smogon, you guys got any suggestions? I'm not very familiar with Battle Tower.
Typhlosion @ Petaya Berry
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd, Timid nature
IVs: 30 HP or anything div. by 4
- Substitute
- Fire Blast
- Solarbeam
- Sunny Day
Though it's no Moltres, Typhlosion can use Sunny Day and massive Special Attack to do 64% or more to Blissey in one hit. With defenses that aren't terrible it can take a random hit from not-Garchomp if something happens to be Scarfed. Basic idea here is to use Substitute 3 times to activate Blaze and Petaya Berry at 33 and 25% respectively, Sunny Daying when I can to support the whole team. From there, Fire Blast and Solarbeam things that aren't Dragon or Fire-typed.
Jumpluff @ Leftovers
EVs: 188 Def / 68 SpD / 252 Spe; Jolly nature
Ability: Chlorophyll
- Encore
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Sleep Powder
Jumpluff exploits a lot of traits about Battle Tower. No Sleep Clause lets me potentially sleep a team if I really wanted to (hint: Sleep on a Garchomp trying to Earthquake!). Then Encore any attempts to set up (or said Earthquake), and SubSeed! Even though it should be Sunny, I'm running max Speed due to the fact that I might be stalling for more than the 3 or 4 turns it'll still be Sunny.
Tangrowth @ Heat Rock / Lum Berry
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe; Modest nature
- Sunny Day
- Solarbeam
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Hidden Power [Ice]
- Sleep Powder / Morning Sun
Tangrowth is physically sturdy (certainly not Special sturdy though), so he can switch in and start sweeping. Solarbeam makes sense, while Hidden Power either takes advantage of Sunny Day or gets coverage. Sleep Powder is handy, but I already have a Sleeper; Morning Sun lets me recover if I can get my hands on a copy of XD.
Ideas? Suggestions? Any MixApe gang-rape I missed?
