No luck on Smogon, you guys got any suggestions? I'm not very familiar with Battle Tower.

Typhlosion @ Petaya Berry
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd, Timid nature
IVs: 30 HP or anything div. by 4
- Substitute
- Fire Blast
- Solarbeam
- Sunny Day

Though it's no Moltres, Typhlosion can use Sunny Day and massive Special Attack to do 64% or more to Blissey in one hit. With defenses that aren't terrible it can take a random hit from not-Garchomp if something happens to be Scarfed. Basic idea here is to use Substitute 3 times to activate Blaze and Petaya Berry at 33 and 25% respectively, Sunny Daying when I can to support the whole team. From there, Fire Blast and Solarbeam things that aren't Dragon or Fire-typed.

Jumpluff @ Leftovers
EVs: 188 Def / 68 SpD / 252 Spe; Jolly nature
Ability: Chlorophyll
- Encore
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Sleep Powder

Jumpluff exploits a lot of traits about Battle Tower. No Sleep Clause lets me potentially sleep a team if I really wanted to (hint: Sleep on a Garchomp trying to Earthquake!). Then Encore any attempts to set up (or said Earthquake), and SubSeed! Even though it should be Sunny, I'm running max Speed due to the fact that I might be stalling for more than the 3 or 4 turns it'll still be Sunny.

Tangrowth @ Heat Rock / Lum Berry
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe; Modest nature
- Sunny Day
- Solarbeam
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Hidden Power [Ice]
- Sleep Powder / Morning Sun

Tangrowth is physically sturdy (certainly not Special sturdy though), so he can switch in and start sweeping. Solarbeam makes sense, while Hidden Power either takes advantage of Sunny Day or gets coverage. Sleep Powder is handy, but I already have a Sleeper; Morning Sun lets me recover if I can get my hands on a copy of XD.

Ideas? Suggestions? Any MixApe gang-rape I missed?

Great team. I'm pretty sure you won"t have any trouble Battle Tower. I would start off with Jumpluff.

I've been thinking a bit about the lead. If I led with Jumpluff I wouldn't get Sunny Day going unless I dropped Encore, which is not something I'm prepared to do. With lots of things being faster than Typhlosion that he's weak to (notably Garchomp) I'm not sure that I'm prepared to lead him.

Tangrowth resists Earthquake from Garchomp and has high enough Defense to take a not-Fire Blast from him. Leading with Sunny Day and then putting the lead immediatley to sleep should be handy, and it might let me drop Sunny Day on Typhlosion. Hmm...

If only Moltres were allowed... he has much higher Special Attack (sunny day + life orb fire blast is a 2hko on Bliss), but is a legendary. I'd obviously lead him thanks to Stealth Rock. I'll keep looking for Fire types.

(merge)

Charizard is definitely going to replace Typhlosion if Earthquake becomes a problem. Same Sunny Day / Sub Petaya Blaze goodness, but with an Earthquake immunity and speed above things that use Stone Edge that aren't named Aerodactyl or Scarf Hera.

Moltres is allowed in Battle Tower, the legendary trios have always been allowed into the Battle Tower :tease:

Chris used "Cheer!"
Chris's Battle Tower Potency sharply rose!

If I could edit the first post I would, but I'll just make a new thread.

Please use this one.

Also, yeah, Moltres would be a good idea. Fire types say hi to this team.
