pretty good shuckle, but you might want to consider sandstorm over gyro ball. it's attack is so low gyro ball wont do much good unless using power trick, and shuckle is made to wear down opponents anyway

Shuckle's defenses are considerably high on any standard. But what lets it down is everything else. It's attack is unsalvageable, no matter how many EVs you throw into it. Unfortunately, the same thing goes for hp. I've seen it happen too many times...Shuckle can't take many hits at all because of it's extremely low hp, even IF you throw EVs into defenses, which you haven't done anyway. Just because of it's very low hp, Shuckle can't cut it as a wall on either end of the defensive spectrum.
That being said, if you do plan on using Shuckle, I would suggest leaning more toward the sp def walling aspect of him. Get rid of any offensive attacks, as they really won't help you much. Give it Sandstorm if you don't have anyone else in your lineup to set it up, as a sandstorm gives a major boost to its already ridiculously high sp def. Try this:
Shuckle@Chesto Berry
Careful Nature
Sandstorm/Stealth Rock
Protect
Rest
Toxic
EVs: 252 HP, 126 sp def, 126 def (slightly unsure of EVs).
Oh, and if you do want to utilize the potential offensive aspect of Shuckle through Power trick, you need Trick Room set up to make up for its lost speed (of course then, Sassy would be the proper nature). If you can somehow manage setting up Trick Room and Power Trick with Shuckle still standing, then your opponent is in for a rough time.

ok then. I'll use the wall i've got. I thought that because it has high def and sp def it would last but...

it can definatly take a few hits, and with the rest/chesto combination, id say its a pretty decent wall

with low HP it won't last to long against strong opponents.

You can make up for Shuckle's low HP by just puring 252 EVs into it and going with a (special) defensive nature and making the defensive stats even. The only way Shuckle's going to kill anything is by Toxic and/or Sandstorm, so forget Earthquake and Gyro Ball. Your best bet is using it with Hippowdon or Tyranitar to set up Sandstorm and multiply your special defence by 1.5, with Shuckle holding Leftovers (Chestorest is overrated) and using the moveset Toxic, Knock Off, Rest, Stealth Rock. Toxic to kill stuff, Knock Off and Stealth Rock because they're both generally awesome moves, Rest to recover HP.
On another note, I once managed to pass a Belly Drum to my offensive Shuckle (oxymoron?!) when I was against Cheese Warrior. Man, that was fun. :D

The best thing for you to try and pull off with Shuckle is a nice support set. He gets Knock Off or Body Slam (not both due to egg/tutor mismatch), Encore, Toxic, Wrap, etc. to help out. With 252 HP he can survive 4 or 5 hits, so Encoring things that you Wrapped and thought you were setup fodder is absolutely hilarious and gives you a Wobbufett-like free turn.
Power Trick can be attempted, but be sure everything physical is off the table first.
