Search and Destroy gives more XP than any other game type if you can get enough kills. 50 XP per kill. 100 XP to defuse and plant the bomb aswell.

Team Hardcore is mostly hardcore S&D matches, sometimes they'll throw a team deathmatch in there.

As for little in game stuff:

Make sure you have martyrdom, really comes in handy

Use the machine guns, they tend to rack up a lot of kills (red dot sight is a must)

Claymores can help a little

If you don't like claymores, try getting three frags

Team Objective gives you a lot of xp providing you're good enough or on a good team. If you get on a winning HQ team for example you could be looking at 300xp per game.

Claymores are a must in Search & Destroy. They don't even disappear if you die.

Headquarters. The team score (you win at 250) is added to the personal score of everyone on the team. You get those 5 points every few seconds your team has the HQ whether your dead or not. Then you get points from kills, of course (explosives ftw). Then you also get the match bonus. In a bad round, where my team won, I got about 500 exp total. In a good round, I can get 800-1000 exp. I've seen my match bonus break 400 multiple times in headquarters. Usually I have to do a really long Sabotage match (and win) to get that high. And throwing explosives at the HQ gives lots of free kills.

Search and Destroy is good exp ONLY if you survive and kill lots of the enemy team... which can be kinda hard to do consistently. And claymores are indeed awesome in Search and Destroy. Several times I've gotten a kill after I was dead from them (sometimes the final kill of the match, hehe).

HQ is the way to go ... especially if you are at a lower rank you can level up really quickly

Ground war is always good, if you're good enough to call in a couple airstrikes and choppers, then you'll be all over the xp. If not...then just play search and destroy.

While everybody says S&D is only good is you kill a lot of people, If you can kill 3-4 people per match then you've got the same amount of experience as the better players in a deathmatch.

I play team deathmatch and complete the challenges, helps me rack of exp extremely fast.

Team death match
Light machine gun or sniper rifle
Find high ground
Use your 2 claymores to block off the entrances
Camp!

I always play HQ when I'm trying to get lots of exp. You can get alot of exp from winning games, and even if you lose, you'll still get decent exp.

search and destroy is what help me get ranked up lol but then they would always kick me out cause they kinda new i was in it for the points and not being a team sticking together. i would just run all the way with out them and try and get as many kills as possible lol well we would win like that too but they would still kick me cause they wanted to do the bomb thing.lol

I get 800 - 1000 xp on Search and Destroy on a consistent basis.

Play it a lot, figure out everyone's tendencies, and then play accordingly and s&d is you're game. I get through prestige in 4 days tops at maybe 5 hours a day.

i play Sabotage alot because if people plant the bomb near the end of the time limit then you can gain lot of points form th game by killing people because, so far i get about 800 points a game because i get so many kills then the match bonus are about 300 + depending on how late the bomb is planted

I think the most I got from playing sabotage was near 1500. That's including kills, bonus points and the end game points. Head quarters is another good way to gain XP

i think search and destroy, if you are good enough, its 50 points to kill an enemy and then 100 if you plant or disarm the bomb, i cant remember about the bomb blowing up though

Search and destroy by far is the best way to get exp. Also keep an eye on new challenges. When I have the ACOG scope on a gun I move to the next. Boot camp challenges can also yield a lot of easily gained exp.
