I saw a pic of a handheld sega whats it called cause i want 1!!!!!It looks cool:D

Hmm... well, there was a Sega Game Gear at one point. You couldn't put in the actual Genesis console games to play, though.
I actually had a handheld that played the Genesis games - served me very well over the years. It's a Sega Nomad. Good luck finding one though.

Wait, so it was an handheld that actually played the Genesis cartridges? awesome!! i sure as hell wouldnt mind that! playin Shinobi n Ranger X on the road! :D

Yeah, it was awesome to have. Sonic on the road? RBI Baseball mobile? Some of the good times... granted, screen was a deal smaller but for an early handheld it was very well done.

The handheld "Genesis" WAS called Sega Nomad. I should Know i had one.

Ive never heard of the nomad.....
I had a Game Gear and i got an adaptor that let me play Master System games on it.
Enduro racer, basket ball nightmare on the go!! :P

If anyone's interested in game gears, there selling pretty cheap on ebay, my sister has one...but it won't play now because i think batteries leaked in the battery compartment, shame i loved playing the little thing.
But this is about the nomad...sorry, just wanted to share

It's a Sega Game Gear It's nearly the size of a brick they are kinda like the PSP in a sense Its a Sega Handheld console I personally have one they're okay for outdated technology.

I had one(NOMAD), sold it on E-Bay for about $25 less than I paid for it over ten years ago, and bought an extra PSP with 1.5 firmware to replace it! Much more convienent........

Game Gears were handheld Master Systems (if you use a peripheral called "Master Gear").
Nomads were handheld Genesis (could do 32X, just not portable; can't do CD games).

yeah it's definitly called the nomad, hell i'm playing in between words while typing this... i got mine maybe 3 months ago for $55.00 in a retro gaming store...
