So, I went to play music when I noticed my computer doesn't have any sound. It had sound last night. Then I go to see if i can input any sound with my mic, so I go to Sound Recorder and it says "Sound recorder cannot record or play back because a sound device is not installed. To install a sound device, go to Control Panel, click Printers and Other hardware, and then click add hardware." I tried this and my mic wasn't found. But the thing is I've already installed my mic and talked in it and everything. Does anyone know why my sound and stuff is messed up?

I had the same problemo a while back. Turns out all the volume had been muted, so I unmuted it and turned the sound back up. But it could also be A] Your speakers are blown., B] The speakers aren't in all the way, either take them out and put them back in or push them in more.

If those are not the solutions, check the Audio Properties. You can quickly access them by right-clicking on the volume control icon if it's in your taskbar. If not, go into Sound And Audio devices in the Control Panel, click the Audio tab, and make sure the correct device is selected as the playback device.

If the computer cannot find any sound device at all, it is possible that you can fix it by reinstalling the audio drivers. These usually can be found on a CD that comes with the motherboard.
