Favourite Racing Game/Series

So whats your favourite game or games from the racing genre?

I have several from down the years such as Mario Kart, Gran Tourismo, Daytona and Sega Rally but I think I would have to put the Need for Speed series top with Underground 2 as being my fav.

I enjoy playing the Burnout games the most, crashing things as never been so enjoyable. :D

I forgot about the Burnout series, I was tempted to put the Destruction Derby games down as \i loved them for the PS1 but didnt think they'd be too popular, lets face it if I had 100 poll options I would probably be missing a few games

I was going to post Gran Turismo the second I read the thread title. After a quick glance at the poll options, I suddenly remembered the Wipeout series, which I loved back in my video-gaming golden age. So, I'm going to go with that...

Gran Turismo-All the games are great, the cars look awsome, graphics are GREAT!!! Everything you could ask for in a racing game.

Project Gotham, usually not a fan of racing games, but the mix of realism yet ability to use reckless abandon actually had me hooked for awhile.

Yes! That's the one! In fact, they didn't even rename it on the installation or on the disk icon in my computer! They just changed it on the splash screen! :D :P :rolleyes:

Well, I played the original on PC, and it just didn't seem that good really. I mean, the guy gives you his car and when you lose he just goes "great race, but I guess someone had to win". Those are just some of the points I have against it. (well, the original, at least) So yeah, I'd personally get a good ol' NFS, myself. :shrug:

I was really into the PSX Need For Speed series back in the day. Never did enjoy any of the PS2 versions though.

Had a blast with Grand Turismo and Crash Team Racing, too.

Its true I did forget those but as I said in my first post there are so many car games 12 options could never be near enough hence option 12
