My 4 year old cousin is getting a Wii, and i have been asked to find out some fun games for him.

What i am looking for, it kids games that adults can have some fun playing with them. Video games is a good way to bond with younger relatives.
co op play would be nice... its getting boring beating him and his friends at Super smash brothers mellee for gamecube.

Well, Carnival Games would be a good starting point. It is like a bunch of mini-games that you would find at a Carnival that is fun for a group of people playing together.
Then, depending on how much they like that, Mario Party 8 might be a good choice. It has an easy to learn style of play and can be fun to play with the adults and children.
You might also want to check EA Playground, it is supposed to be a great family game for people of all-ages.
Wii Play could possibly be fun to play as a family, but could get a little old after playing all the games a bunch of times.

You might want to try Sonic and the Secret Rings, Elebits, Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree, and Mario Strikers: Charged.

Definitely get Super Smash Bros. Brawl when it comes out in February. Super Mario Galaxy and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga are good choices that are being released this month.

The only game I think a four year old would understand/have fun playing would be Wii Sports and possibly Wii Play. Wii Sports is packaged with the game.

I've never seen Carnival Games in action, but it might be good for a four year old.

I would think that Sports, Play, and Mario Party 8 would be the only good games for him now. Galaxy could be good for him if he is second player.

for Mario Party 8, does it use the new motion scensors on teh WII, or are there a ton of "press this button until your controler breaks" mini games? I played some of the Mario Partys when i was younger and as i got older that became my biggest complaint.

and does the WII require a memeory card? I no longer have the money to think about buying new sytems so i have compltely stoped following the news.

Mario Party 8 uses the motion sensing on the mini-games. As for needing a memory card, the Wii has plenty of space to save things to it without an SD card, but if you want to take your file with you somewhere else then you will need an SD card.
