I prefer using the Xplorer controller over my new Les Paul. I find that it is just harder for me to press the buttons on the Les Paul like the buttons are not raised up high enough or something and it throws me off on songs. The Xplorer has the right amount of height on the buttons and it does help me on a lot of songs... or maybe I am just crazy too... :link:

I found the buttons on the Les Paul annoying at first but I much prefer the Les Paul now. My only problem is that the guitar is so thick that it cuts into my wrist when I alternate strum (which is all the time).

I like the new Les Paul because of the wireless functionality, and the activating in star power by tilting your guitar. My Xplorer sucks for activating star power.. and the damn back button was too small find. The new Les Paul has a big back button to activate star power with. I just use my strumming hand's palm to activate it in hard sections. The wireless functionality is awesome, too. I probably put over 20+ hours into the batteries, and it still says I 3/4ths full.

As for the buttons, they feel a lot different than the Xplorer's. I like the new Les Paul buttons better, because I can slide my fingers more efficiently.

i like the Xplorer's buttons alot more than the Les Paul's. They do seem lower than the Xplorer's and mabey its just me but i have to press down a little harder on them on certain chords. the only thing i like better about the Les Paul is the location of the start and back buttons. (i would say the wireless but that really doesnt even matter to me since my 360 is in the middle armrest of my couch.)

The Les Paul's buttons certainly were a bit annoying at first because I kept letting long notes go early, or accidentally not pressing hard enough and i'll miss a chord. But after playing with it for a bit, I like it a lot better. It's much easier to tap and do HOs/POs with it.
