EVs question

I heard that a pokemon gains EVs if its holding the EXP share and doesn't battle.

Well if this is ture say I verse a fisherman with 6 magicraps with a lv 100 pokemon and a lv1 pokemon in my party holding the EXP share will the lv1 pokemon gain 6speed EVs?

Yes, that's how it should work. Though you probably can't see a huge stat improvement on the level-up stat chart yet, because lv.1 Pokémon doesn't need mucho experience to level up, therefore, it can't gain that many EVs before it level-ups.

But yes, the level 1 Pokémon will gain the EVs assuming it isn't somehow maxed on EVs.

Actually, you could give it 10 of all the vitamins and then battle really weak pokemon without gaining any levels. But not many people would do that.

I don't think even battling against really weak Pokémon would help. There's not lv.1 Magikarps in the wild, and Magikarps give the smallest amount of experience, methinks. You could double the effort by giving another Pokémon Exp.Share, halving the experience points but (kind of) doubling EVs you gain. And you could also give the battling monster a Macho Brace (what was that other item again?), but it still wouln't be possible to max out stats before leveling up.

Give it 10 each of HP Up, Zinc, Protein, Iron, Carbos, Calcium. That's actually 600 EVs total, and the cap is 510, so that's more than enough.
