ok, as you might be aware from my siggy, i'm making loads of new teams, some with the same pokemon in, but anyway, here's my first team with movesets:
The New 4th Gen Evolution Team!!!
Mangezone – Rain Dance, Thunder, Hyper Beam, Magnet Rise
Leafeon – X-Scissor, Leaf Blade/Razor Leaf, Aerial Ace, ?
Togekiss – Aura Sphere, Magical Leaf, Air Slash, Hyper Beam
Yanmega – Bug Buzz, Night Slash, Air Slash, Ancient Power
Glaceon – Hail, Blizzard, Water Pulse, Mirror Coat
Gallade – Leaf Blade, Night Slash, Psycho Cut, Close Combat
The Leaf Blade/Razor Leaf on Leafeon is just because i might not get it up to lvl71 for it to learn leaf blade, and can anyone think of a 4th move to go on leafeon for me?
btw, i dont care about natures, and evs, and stuff like that :D

Pencil Thief

Magnezone: That's fine, except do not use Hyper Beam on anything.
Leafeon: Leaf Blade,Sunny Day,Sythesis,X-Scissor
Togekiss: Take out hyper beam for Roost.
Gallade: Take out Leaf Blade for Thunder Wave or Stone Edge.
I hope that helped.

You're right. You should use Giga Impact on Slaking, instead.

I don't know much about Yanmega, but from the looks of it, Yanmega seems to be a special attacker. Based on that, I would consider a replacement for Night Slash, but then again I don't know much about this one. Your call.

could you help me with items for them as well, none of them have items except gallade, who has scope lens

You're right. You should use Giga Impact on Slaking, instead.
Actually, Giga Impact on Slaking is bad, after all. While it doesn't prevent Slaking from attacking twice in a row, it DOES prevent switching on the recharge turn, which will allow a smart opponent to set up with a Swords Dance or Nasty Plot, or even just Focus Punch you while you sit there helpless.
In addition, Hyper Beam has one use: with a Life Orb and a Nasty Plot under its belt, a PorygonZ Hyper Beam will OHKO most Blisseys. Of course, you still have to deal with getting revenge killed (or set up on), so I would advise against it, but it's not totally useless like it was last gen.
redlizard: When in doubt, go with Leftovers. If you can't get them, trying running Choice items, Life Orb, Expert Belt, or berries.

And for Gallade, I'd recommend:
Leaf Blade
Psycho Cut
Night Slash
Swords Dance
I don't know much about the rest,
But as Pencil Thief said, Don't use Hyper Beam on Anything (Except Slaking)

That set doesn't have a fighting move. It's a part fighting and the only other fighting type move is on Togekiss.
{I thought that was a wall}or am I mistaken

Then I guess we can use Close Combat instead of swords Dance.
But Swords Dance should be handy with Gallade since it's attack (& speed)
is superior to the rest.
Close Combat also reduces Defense and Sp.Defense by 2 stages.
If a fighting-type move is required, Brick Break might work.

You could use Drain Punch-TM
MisterDecent
October 27th, 2007, 05:15 AM
Drain Punch isn't that effective...But it does have STAB.
Yea, I guess that might work too.
Shur'tugal

It also restores HP.

I know...
I'm not really sure right now...
Yea, I guess Drain Punch is a better idea.

i might replace hyper beam for flash cannon, but does anyone know if i can get more than one of it, coz i used it on my lucario
i will give leafeon leaf blade when i get it to lvl 71, but until then it's razor leaf
and glaceon has hail, because apart from damaging opponents, it makes blizzard 100% accurate
and i like hyper beam on my togekiss :)
im going to give glaceon icy rock, to extend hail time

Since he/she doesn't care about EVs, he/she's not going to try to get the right Hidden Powers.
Shur'tugal
October 28th, 2007, 01:38 AM
Hidden Power moves are not based on Evs but IVs.
The only place to get TM 91 is at the 6th gym
@$uper$imon= Magnezone/Leafeon/Togekiss/Yangmega were fine as they were
I didn't say he HAD to get rid of Hail it was just a suggestion
Gallade@?
Stone Edge/Leaf Blade
Night Slash
Psycho Cut
Clost Combat
Try that.

Hidden Power moves are not based on Evs but IVs. He knows that, but IVs are much, much harder to get right than EVs.
@$uper$imon= Magnezone/Leafeon/Togekiss/Yangmega were fine as they were No, they weren't. More detail below.
Gallade@?
Stone Edge/Leaf Blade
Night Slash
Psycho Cut
Clost Combat
Use Expert Belt, with Swords Dance or Thunder Wave over the first move.
Ok, about those pokemon:
Yanmega - is a special attacker. Therefore Night Slash isn't very good on it (apart from not providing much coverage). Also, except on a Choice set, it's generally bad to have only attacking moves on something. There are exceptions, but Yanmega isn't one of them.
Magnezone - Hyper Beam is always bad. Rain Dance/Thunder combo can be good, but it wastes moveslots for stuff that won't do anything for the rest of the party. Magnet Rise is good in theory, but it's not fast enough to outspeed any Earthquake users except possibly something like Tyranitar or Swampert.
Togekiss - Magical Leaf is bad on a special attacker, plus lack of coverage. Hyper Beam and all attacking moves have been covered above.
Leafeon - Its moveset is actually ok for now, but a fourth move is needed and Aerial Ace might not be that great.
long posts ftw

rain dance does help a lot of pokemon in the party, as it reduces the damage fire moves do, and 4 of my team are weak against fire type moves...sh*t lol

Magnet Rise is good in theory, but it's not fast enough to outspeed any Earthquake users except possibly something like Tyranitar or Swampert. You can still activate it against something else before or on the turn an Earthquake user switches in.
Togekiss - Magical Leaf is bad on a special attacker, plus lack of coverage. Magical Leaf is a special attack.

Ah. I thought something was wrong. I was thinking of Leaf Blade.
Rain Dance won't last long enough to affect the fire moves, and seeing as you don't care about IVs and EVs and Natures and stuff it probably won't make much difference.

it might last better if i give magnezone damp rock to hold...
and can people check out my other team!!! thanks!
