There was a Blues Brothers game but it was no where near this good. Its not Goonies II either. That game was darker and had rough graphics. This game is one of the games made by Nintendo and had that classic NES cart look. Same kind of logo graphics as Duck Hunt, Mario Bros, and Donkey Kong.

There was a revised version for the PS2 a few years back that sucked compared to the NES version.

Last Battle for the Sega Genesis was based on the same manga/anime franchise but for some reason, they couldn't get the proper clearance. The main character in Last Battle has the same moves as the guy from this game.

I have a difficult one, with a handicap - I don´t have a pic. I remember I played a game like 12-15 years ago that im trying to find but I dont know the name of the game. It was a famicom game in japanesse so i don´t really know if it existed as a nintendo cartridge. What I remember is that it was like a futuristic version of contra. You control a little man that flyes and shoots aliens and starships, the first stage is a destroyed city (earth?). The player has some sort of orbs orbiting around him that moves in a circular fashion and fires in the direction they are facing. If I´m not wrong the second stage is a big starship, so big that its many screens wide, and you can see some cool full screen rotation effects (I think it was called mode 7 graphics in snes times). You can pic up different weapons (like contra) and die with only one shot (like contra). If you have a name for the game please post it and become one of my heroes.

Did you play it on an actual Famicom console or Super Famicom? Was it a side scroller or top view, good graphics, cheesy graphics?

Yes, i played it, but i wasnt able to pass the second level (a big starship). The game had good graphics, i played it on a famicom. The game advanced in an automatic way (i.e. gradius). The first stage scrolled horizontally, the second, in all directions around the ship (Maybe I'm missing some things, remember, it was like 15 years ago!). Simultaneous 2 player mode. It was like a combination of 70% contra + 30% gradius. You had two mini spheres around you firing in the direction they were facing but you were able to lock them in a fixed position. B button:fire, A button:lock-unlock helpers position. It really looked like a Konami game (i´m not sure of this) but it haven't been able to find the name of the game. =)
