So, I played the first HL game of my life when I got the Orange box (I had tried HL1 but wasn't too keen) and I have to say, I loved it. The gae was well choreographed and th graphics were brilliant. My only complaint is that the game never seemed to reach a climax for me. It was more like the ending should have been halfway through (though I suppose it is if you include the episodes).
I can't wait for the next episode to be relesed I dearly wish to know what happens with the Borealis and Judith.
Also, No more Eli :(

I havent tried Episodes 1 and 2 yet. I beat the main game on the original Xbox, but I'm playing through it again. Half-Life 2 was one of the best games I've ever played. I'd reccomend it to anyone.

I thought the climax of Half Life 2 was the end.
After you play Half Life 2, Half Life 1 is obsolete.

You miss a bunch of jokes and references in HL2 and the episodes if you haven't played HL1, though, but HL2 and the later games are, of course, superior in every way...apart from nostalgia.
The HL2 ending wasn't the best. It was a climax, but it was a boring boss fight that wasn't really a boss fight at all. Same with Episode One. Episode Two has the most intense ending fight so far.
And I can't wait for Episode Three either. Really looking forward to see what they can find in Borealis. I'm hoping for a portal device. :D
