Mashed potato is not only really easy to make from scratch, but it's also easy to do all sorts of different things with it, ranging from simply adding more or less milk or butter to make it more or less creamy, to adding other ingredients as you're mixing it. What's your favourite type of mashed potato?
Personally I'm a bit of a fan of dijon mustard mash. I actually don't like mustard ordinarily, but adding a teaspoon of it when mixing the mash gives it a really nice flavour.

Dijon mustard mash? I've never heard of such thing. Got a recipe for it?
Personally, I love garlic mash with extra butter.

It's very simple. Make the mash as normal, just when you're mixing the potato with the milk and butter, throw in a dollop of dijon mustard as well and mix it in. It's probably best to mix the milk and butter in a little bit before you throw the mustard in, but just make sure you mix it in when the potato is piping hot. You can put as much mustard in as you want to make sure you get the right strength for you, but be aware that you won't need a lot. Anymore than about a teaspoon and it'll be too strong.

That's easy enough. I'm definitely going to have to try it next time I'm making potatoes.

Cheesy Mashed Potatoes :) Even better with some bacon bits, real ones mind you, not the artificial ones.
