I wouldn't say I used any "technique" as such, knowing the track, driving as fast as possible and never braking is about all I could say. Mainly though, it's practice.

And I used to play on 360, (got 2nd highest drift score of all time on Live), but I don't have the game anymore.

Hey I can only just about get one million on Gold Valley Run, and thats with going in reverse then using NOS to get speed.

It is an achievement, for me anyways...

That's okay, the xbox gives you far less points for drifting anyway. The most I ever got on GVR (gold valley run) on a console version was 4.5 million, and that took a LOT of practice.

I don't go for huge top speeds, so I don't know. But they have probably sat there fine-tuning their car for hours, like the guy who first did 7 million points in a drift did.

With the keyboard it is a lot harder control the car. I do play on the PC but I plug my Xbox 360 controller into it and use that to play.

However, the only effective way of raising your drifting skill is to practice.

With me, it has took a lot to get my current times and my speeds, but being serious here... In the beginning, I was just trying to beat times and speeds you guys set, which wasn't hard (no way would I try drifting, but I might soon)... It has only been since the first time my score got beaten that I pushed a bit harder, and tried beating my own records...

I used the track that is about 2.7 miles long and looks like it is practically straight road all the way, with only minor bends.

I'll post something later on to give you an idea of how aggressive you have to be on that track, might also give you all an idea of exactly what Sprint track I use.

The Murcielago is THE fastest I have raced with, but then again, I think that maybe if I had the collector's edition (With the Koeniggsegg CCX and the Pagani Zonda) then those top speed records would be higher since those two cars are faster than the Murcielago in RL.

Hmm Snakebite, I was just thinking about what you said to me about drift points being significantly lower on the Xbox than on the PC. Maybe that is also true for top speed, because the SLR on my Xbox game goes to at max about 320mph or so.

The Record I have seen is round about 39 seconds, Though, that in my opinion is far from reality. It was with an Audi R8, and you can't even tune it for crying out loud.

Now, if he meant 49 seconds, then I could say I can blitz him. I'll see what parts of the track I can get away with using no SB (speedbreaker), nice it adds weight to the car and slows it down a tad.

Oh, and I have realise something else with muscles. They tend to slide more than normal in SB mode, not good for when you want to hug the apex tight. That info will help me with the zig zagging turn towards the end.

I aim to get 48 seconds or less.
