Just wondering if anyone here got to see Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D last year. It's one of my favorite all time movies but I missed it last year. This year I really, really hope to see it the week of Halloween. have to imagine it's an awesome experience.

What I want to know is why they can't just release it in regular theaters and give everyone the G.D. blue/red 3D glasses. This will be the 2nd year in a row that I've missed it because the closest theater that's showing it is a good 4+ hours away. Grrrr.
Any idea why it has to be shown in special theaters?

I know why.. Its because its not the traditional 3D. its digital 3D. A special digital projector is needed. It was really worth the it though. Its not anything like your traditional 3d Movie, everything is ALWAYS in 3d. not just certain parts that pop out. Its really quite cool actually, and it looks amazing. The red/blue glasses would always distort other colors. Go see it though, its totally worth it!

Sorry, I know this has been dead a while, but I just saw the thread. I took my kids last year and I was sorely dissapointed. The 3D effect was lame. It was cool to see it agian on the big screen, though.
