Kurt Kapata versus Rohan Maholtra
Exhibition: Singles
Maholtra comes to the ring with a look of fire and determination in his eyes, and Kapata seems completely disinterested in fighting him. Maholtra takes advantage of this by taking the fight to his opponent completely decimating him early on with powerful strikes and takedowns.
Kapata mounts a little offense with a few body shots and a clothesline, taking some momentum away from Maholtra. Kapata doesn't keep his wits about him though as Maholtra comes up with lightning speed from the mat and nails him with several quick kicks to the gut. Maholtra backs up, and nails Kapata straight in the jaw with a vicious looking kick he calls The Rush, which nearly knocks Kapata out and Maholtra pins him easily for an impressive 'first' victory.
Winner, via Pinfall: Rohan Maholtra
Ryan Reed versus J.O.S.E. G.
Exhibition: Singles
A battle of supreme egos, yet different classes in this match, with both men having nothing but the utmost confidence in their abilities.
Both men fight hard and fast, with each taking personal exceptions to the blows being landed. Both men are looking to prove just which tag team is better, vicariously of course. It appears at first that Reed is maintaining the upper hand with a few technical holds and arm bars, but Jose G is not about to be kept out of the fight and breaks a hold with the ropes. Ryan Reed takes another personal exception to this tactic and complains to the referee about it, but before he knows what hit him, Jose G has rolled him up from behind and pinned him for a three count! Reed is stunned, and Jose G and his PDC cohorts, who were conveniently nearby, celebrate in true "gangsta" style.
Winner, Via Pinfall: J.O.S.E. G
Richard Storrs versus Brad Regan
Exhibition: Singles
Rich Storrs and Brad Regan, two men on complete opposite sides of the political spectrum, with no love lost between them. They immediately lock up, with Storrs getting the upper hand quickly, firing a knee into Regan's gut that makes the liberal wrestler double over in pain. Storrs quickly takes advantage, flooring Regan with a snap suplex and floating over to get the two count. Regan seems a bit dazed as Storrs locks him in a front facelock on the ground, still working the head and neck of his opponent, switching over to a few more holds before switching over to a more aggressive approach, nailing a swift DDT on Regan and going for another cover and another two count. Storrs is visibly frustrated and decides it's time to put an end to his frustrations. He sets Regan up and goes for the Dollar Mark! But halfway through the flip, Regan somehow manages to fight off the fatigue can manages to hold Storrs in the air, quickly dropping him into a a desperation version of the Gunship Politico! Regan desperately makes the cover but only gets a 2 count.
Now Brad's in the driver's seat and he looks intent on holding on to the advantage, taking a few moments to recover before lifting Storrs to his feet and hitting Storrs with a Fisherman Suplex with a nice stall at the apex that has to leave Storrs regretting his earlier hijinks with Regan's Prius, at least a little. Regan holds Storrs after the suplex, hitting him with a second, holding him down for a pin this time, but Storrs kicks out at two. Regan looks shocked that the prone Storrs could kick out and decides he'll try an aerial assault to finish this one off. Regan climbs to the top rope and looks out over the crowd for a moment, ready for some sort of devastating aerial maneuver but Storrs is back to his feet in a flash, delivering a vicious uppercut that leaves him dazed in a precarious position on the turnbuckle. Storrs smells blood in the water and goes to the second rope, setting Regan up for the Green With Envy. Just as Storrs makes the leap, Regan somehow manages to reverse it into a Victory Roll, getting Storrs' shoulders down for the three and picking up the victory!
Winner, via Pinfall: Brad Regan
Richard Storrs certainly isn’t happy about that come-from-nowhere victory. Regan gets his hand raised as Storrs mutters something about revenge.
Chris Fallon versus Blake Hades
Exhibition: Singles
Non-Title Match
The Champion Blake Hades takes on what some consider an impressive newcomer in Chris Fallon. Fallon is riding high on emotion, but Hades is riding on high on...his belt.
Hades and Fallon actually have a relatively balanced matchup, with each trading grapple for grapple and blow for blow. Hades almost seems impressed, contradicting what he said earlier in the night, but most fans think he is holding back. After a couple more minutes of cat and mouse, Hades decides it's time to take control of the match, and he grabs Fallon to set him up for a suplex, but Fallon rolls him up! Fallon only gets a two, but he takes the fight to Hades, hitting him with several stiff forearms before hitting Hades with a standing dropkick. Fallon looks to take advantage, and climbs the top rope, looking to put Hades away with a Moonsault! But Hades rolls out of the way quickly, and Fallon hits hard, driving the wind out of his body. It doesn't take long for Hades to capitalize and drop Fallon with his Myth Buster, allowing him to make a cover and get a three count, reminding Fallon that it takes a lot more to beat a champion.
Winner, via Pinfall: Blake Hades
Gothic versus Johnny Reed
Exhibition: Singles
The fans strongly applaud Gothic for competing tonight, and give him some extra encouragement since this will be his retirement match. The cocky Reed shows no signs of intimidation toward the former world champion as he arrogantly slaps him across the face. An exchange of strikes ensues, in which Gothic gets the better of Reed with a series of chops. Gothic takes Reed down and tries to lock on an armbar for a quick finish, but Reed squirms out like a snake. Reed gains momentum after a poke to the eye and a quick neckbreaker. He grounds Gothic while keeping his distance to avoid any potential submissions.
Reed keeps control of the match until Gothic comes back with a few submission attempts. Reed manages to avoid these, but he can’t avoid a lightning quick kick to the side of the head that knocks him down. Gothic gets a two out of it, and it seems the shooter is planning to finish Reed off. Gothic tries to lock on the Black Dragon, but Reed fires upward knees and pulls down with all his weight, causing Gothic to support the weight with his back. Gothic drops Reed, clutching his back in pain, and Reed delivers a big dropkick that causes Gothic to sandwich the ref in the corner. As if that wasn’t enough, Reed goes for a splash but misses, driving the ref against the corner and causing him to fall to the mat. Wimpy referee.
Gothic grabs Reed from behind now and applies the dragon sleeper, eventually turning it into the Black Dragon! Reed screams in pain and begins tapping, but the referee is down, and Gothic drops Reed. Gothic goes to revive the referee as Reed rolls out of the ring and grabs a chair. But wait! It’s Sato, Gothic’s pupil! Sato rushes to the ring and grabs the chair out of Johnny’s hands… The fans cheer as Gothic grabs Reed, preparing to drop him on his head with a Deathwish, but Sato inexplicably bashes his mentor in the back with the chair! Gothic clutches his back and gets clocked in the head by Sato, who points to Reed and tells him to pin him. Sato disposes of the weapon and wakes the referee up, who makes the three count…
Winner, via Pinfall: Johnny Reed
The fans are still booing as Sato joins in with Johnny Reed, stomping Gothic into the mat. Suddenly, Reed’s former friends, the Hollywood G’Z run to the ring! Reed and Sato stare at Vista and Ryan Reed, who are ready to attack… but they suddenly embrace, hugging each other and laughing… Sato seems confused until the Grandstands and Johnny Reed shove him and tell him to get out of the ring. Sato runs away like the chickensh*t he is, and the three men in the ring continue the beat down on Gothic, yelling at him to go into retirement… What a disgrace.
Dimitri versus Malice
Exhibition: Singles
The Russian Monster and the...Hardcore...guy. Yeah. Dimitri is possessed, and Malice is pissed, so you know that makes for a hard hitting match between two very angry men! Malice and Dimitri fight like one would expect, lots of body strikes, lots of stiff kicks, lots of sheer rage. Malice is clearly at a size disadvantage, but he doesn't let that stop him from putting a beating on Dimitri.
Malice looks to have worn down Dimitri after an onslaught of quick attacks and goes for a DDT, but Dimitri uses one hand to grab the ropes and doesn't go down! Dimitri grabs Malice with his other arm and literally throws him over the top rope! Dimitri exits the ring, apparently gaining a second wind as he smashes Malice's head into the outside barrier several times before shooting him into the steel ring steps with a sickening crash! Dimitri raises his arms in power, going to his fallen adversary and throwing him back into the ring. Dimitri toys with Malice for a few minutes, hitting setting him up and allowing him to counter a few moves that appear to do little damage. Malice is whipped into the corner and Dimitri decides it's time to destroy his opponent, but Malice slides out of the way! Malice runs off the ropes and nails Dimitri with a stiff dropkick right in his right knee! Dimitri falls, and Malice looks to apply his Lockdown to Dimitri, but the Russian Monster uses his size 20 boot to push Malice off him and into the ropes with force. Malice rushes back at Dimitri and looks for a lariat, but instead is met by the bear claws that double as hands for Dimitri clamping around his throat as Dimitri lifts him high into the air, driving him down with the Eternal Darkness for the three count and a convincing victory.
Winner, Via Pinfall: Dimitri
Darius Falcon versus Alex Michaels
Exhibition: Singles
Two of the premier stars in the Freestyle Division are in action tonight, with Tristan Novak doing commentary from ringside. Kayleigh MacKenzie (at least I think that’s her last name gg) is with her new client, Alex Michaels, who looks impressive in the early part of this match. Michaels nails a few arm drags to get the match going, but Falcon retaliates with a nice spinning heel kick that takes Alex off his feet. Kayleigh cheers her man on in the competitive match. Novak doesn’t understand why she’s with him. Falcon gets a near fall after a nice huracarrana. Michaels gets dropped on his head with a DDT, for which Falcon scores a two. Rob Cavallo appears on the stage, providing a distraction for Darius Falcon. Michaels takes advantage and delivers a nice bridging German Suplex for two and a half. Falcon knocks Michaels down shortly after with an enzuigiri. He has some words with Cavallo, but Rob hooks Falcon’s hands from behind in a full nelson while standing on the apron. Michaels charges to hit his opponent, but Darius wriggles free, and Michaels punches Rob in the head. Shocked at what he’s done, Michaels turns around and gets kicked in the stomach and driven to the mat with the Big Bang! Falcon rolls him over and hooks the legs… one… two… thre-AWW, MAN! Rob Cavallo runs in and clubs Falcon in the back of the head!
Winner, via Disqualification: Darius Falcon
The fans boo as Cavallo beats down Falcon. Novak remains motionless, not really wanting to save Falcon. However, Michaels joins in on the fun too, and for that Novak runs to the ring. Michaels quickly bails, leaving his partner behind. He grabs Kayleigh by the wrist and heads to the back as Novak waits on Cavallo to turn around. He doubles him over and pulls him in for the Dublin Destroyer, but Cavallo shoves Novak away, sending him into Falcon. Novak and Falcon get into a shoving match and a war of words as Cavallo heads to the back… those cowards.
Main Event:
Roderick Brookes versus The JoZ
Exhibition: No Disqualification
The Irish Assassin himself is set to do war with a hardcore veteran in The JoZ. These two aren’t wasting much time as they begin clubberin’ from the get-go. Fists are flying and teeth are probably being broken as JoZ gets the better of Brookes momentarily, forcing him back into the corner. He begins choking him, but Brookes gouges the eyes and delivers a nice kick to the head that rocks JoZ. Not bad for a 260 pound man doing an enzuigiri. Brookes rolls out of the ring, looking for weapons, no doubt. JoZ gets back to his feet and shocks the crowd when he vaults over with a crossbody on Brookes to drop him on the floor. That one was nice. JoZ pulls a table out from under the ring and slides it in and grabs Brookes. Roderick fires a few chops to the neck and delivers a spinning slap to the face that stuns JoZ. He shoves JoZ into a steel chair that’s placed near the guardrail and backs up quickly before delivering a vicious kick to JoZ’s head that forces him into the guardrail. Brookes grabs JoZ and rolls him inside before taking the chair in with him.
JoZ has a small laceration above his eye, and he notices it immediately. He wraps a hand around Brookes throat and delivers an impromptu chokeslam that drops Brookes to the mat out of nowhere. Rather than pinning, JoZ wants to inflict more pain and sets up a table in the corner. He grabs Brookes and tries to Irish whip him into it, but you can’t Irish whip an Irishman! Brookes reverses into an inverted atomic drop and delivers a DDT for two. Roderick grabs the chair and sets it up in the middle of the ring. He grabs JoZ and Irish whips him into the ropes. Brookes tries a drop toehold, but JoZ looks at him with a “What, do you think I’m stupid?” look and grabs the chair, throwing it at Brookes. He cracks Brookes in the back with it and then grabs him, delivering a snap suplex. JoZ drops a leg and covers, but it’s only two. JoZ pulls Brookes to his feet, but Roderick quickly delivers a modified stunner that drops JoZ back down to the mat. Roddy drops all his weight on JoZ with a back senton and makes the cover, but it’s only a two count.
Brookes tries to powerbomb JoZ, but JoZ reverses with a modified Emerald Fusion that drops Brookes on his head. JoZ grabs the table out of the corner, apparently changing his mind about how he wants to use it. He sets it up in the middle of the ring and lifts Brookes to his feet. JoZ hoists Brookes to his shoulders and tries to drive him through the wood with the Catastrophe, but Brookes blocks it with elbows to the head and slides out, attempting to lock on a choke hold. JoZ blocks that with back elbows and shoves Brookes into the corner. JoZ delivers a pair of big knees to the stomach and then grabs the steel chair, that’s already been bent out of shape. JoZ slams the chair on Brookes’ head, undoubtedly busting him wide open. He drops the chair and pulls Brookes back to his feet. Roddy’s clearly dazed as JoZ runs to the ropes. He goes for a lariat, but Brookes ducks and simultaneously lifts JoZ onto his shoulders… JoZ blocks the Wake the F*ck Up and delivers a reverse DDT for a two count.
JoZ grabs Brookes and rolls him onto the table. He decides to do something unexpected and climbs to the top rope, wanting to finish Brookes off. It looks like he’s preparing a diving leg drop, but we’ll never know, as Brookes moves out of the way. JoZ tries to readjust and avoid the table, but he still clips it and goes down hard, breaking part of the table. JoZ grabs his knee and hobbles to his feet. Dimitri quickly runs to the ring, undoubtedly under the orders of James Simpson who has to be meticulously watching this contest. Dimitri has a bat in hand and runs in the ring, swinging at Brookes. Roderick ducks under and uppercuts Dimitri between the legs. JoZ hobbles back to his feet and takes a chair shot from Brookes, but that doesn’t drop the mat. He yells at Brookes to come on, so Roderick throws the chair at JoZ. JoZ instinctively catches it, and Brookes dropkicks the chair into his head!
Dimitri is back up and he runs at Brookes. Roderick quickly grabs him and hip tosses him onto JoZ! Roderick grabs his chest… I think he just tore a pectoral muscle! Nah, I’m just sh*ttin’ you. All of Dimitri’s 400 pounds come down on JoZ. Dimitri gets to his feet, trying to attack Brookes. He clubs Brookes a few times in the head, causing him to stagger back. Brookes rebounds off the ropes – PENDULUM LARIAT! What a knockout shot! Dimitri, who’s already been through hell this evening, falls to the mat. Brookes grabs a slowly recovering JoZ and hoists him to his shoulders… WAKE THE F*CK UP! He hooks the leg… one… two… three!
Winner, via Pinfall: Roderick Brookes
Most of the crowd cheers… that is, until, Brookes flips them off. But he gets his just due when JoZ and Dimitri return to their feet. Brookes is ready to bail, but Dimitri cracks him in the head with a bat. JoZ and Dimitri begin to double team Brookes, but suddenly… what’s that from the crowd? Is it a bird? A plane? Some sort of gimmicky superhero? No, no, it’s something much more intimidating – BLAKE HADES! Hades slides in the ring, guitar in hand. And I’m not talking about an acoustic guitar those country musicians with alliterated names use. I’m talking about a rock star’s guitar. Blake plays a few chords, which are inaudible due to this screaming crowd, and breaks the guitar over Dimitri’s head. JoZ, who hates Hades anyway, charges at him, but Blake delivers the Myth Buster! JoZ drops to the mat and rolls out of the ring. Dimitri and JoZ stagger backstage as Brookes and Hades stare down in the ring. Hades looks for a moment, almost extending his hand for a fist bump, perhaps, but Brookes bails before any real sign of friendship could occur… We close out War with Hades standing in the ring, staring down several potential challengers for his Heavyweight Championship.
