I cant figure out how to save Ashley on Resident Evil 4 on the castle level!

Shoot the metal bands that hold her. Shoot the side of the bands so that the path of the bullet doesn't line up with any part of her body.

Yeah and after that there is a whole level you will have to get past with ashley instead of leon if u need any more help all you have to do is post.

Throw the Lanters at the enemies, it usually takes 2, occasionally itll take 3. after thatm when you get to a puzzle, youll know whcih one. The layout looksl ike this

Also instead of lighting them up u can try to close em both to the first chamber where the gate is use the little path at the right of the gate open the gate make em follow you and then close the gate behind you to operate the levers without worries HAKUNA MATATA!
