I've got some questions so here I go.
1. I'm on a medication called Clonodine that is mainly a blood pressure medication, but it's prescribed to me to help with tourettes. The bottle says do not take with alcohol and I wanted to know how bad it would be if I were to drink while on this. I'm on a relatively low dose (.1mg/day) but I might be increasing my dosage. So if anyone knows about it I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd also like to know why it shouldn't be used with alcohol.
2. What free software can I use to do some basic editing of movies. Basically just taking a 30 minute clip and chopping off 30 second portions of it here or there. I'm looking for something easy to use so it doesn't take too long.
Thanks.

1. Depends on how much alcohol you are looking to take. If it is between one and two drinks that isn't a problem, I don't recommend anymore. It is a general rule of thumb that medication + alcohol = undesired effects. Sometimes alcohol increases the effect of medication. In other medications the effect is nullified and canceled out.
2. Windows movie maker is pretty basic and simple.

You're best off asking your doctor about medication interactions.

1. After working in a pharmacy, I can definitely tell you that if it says you shouldn't take with alcohol, it's probably not the best idea if you don't know the reason. Some medications have bad interactions with the alcohol in your stomach and can lead to some intense cramping and vomiting.
After looking at the uses on wikipedia, however, it looks like the most probable reason is that it might intensify the effects of either the alcohol or the medication as it says it is sometimes used as a sedative.
I wouldn't take my word for it, but it is something the pharmacist should know and a quick phone call to your pharmacy should help clear it up.

1. usually, and I don't know what pharmacy you go to, but usually, your rescription should come with a small booklet or anhlet, that explains the side affects, active ingredients and whatot for your medicaio. My parents always get their medication from Walgreens and it comes inside or stalped to the bag. You should check that out or call your pharmacy/doctor. If it says not to do it, then you should robably follow its instructions.
2. Well, windows offers a chea movie maker, but if you want to be able to chop them up and convert them to a readable file for a dvd layer, then you might want to check blast media pro or nero or roxio. blast media ro allows you a 30 day trial of their software, it converts wav files into vcd format and such. a cheap way to burn some movies onto a cd, but...the quality and memory storage is limiting.
