It seems like the Borg has struck again.

I guess $620 million will make people sell almost anything.

Just came in here to make a thread about the same thing.
This pisses me off, two independent developers letting themselves be bought, WTF is that.
This damages how I think about Bioware and even Pandemic. And at the same time makes me hate EA even more. I fear for Bioware, EA has the potential to really "F" up the way Bioware works, which would effect how good their games are.
EA, do the world of gaming a favor and burn.

Can't agree more with Gorge.. this is a travesty and the worst gaming news to come about in a while.

This really is not good news. I guess all we can do at this point is hope that EA don't put their stamp of mediocrity on games that the two developers churn out.

I know it isn't and it really sucks as well. Bioware and Pandemic know how to make really great games and EA has only 1 or 2 good games year and that isn't syaing alot for EA either. I fear that Bioware's and Pandemic's games are going to suffer for this.

...or Pandemic and Bioware could raise the standard for EA games and we could get some decent games form them...
...yeah, that's never going to happen. :( This sucks.

That that is the universial question.
Though I did like the LOTR and HP games.

Harry Potter?
Why would they let themselves do this? Don't they know that if they release an online game, EA will shut down the servers in about two years, no matter how popular the game is?

I totally forgot that EA did crap like that. Which I do find extremly irritating. All we can do is watch, wait and hope that EA doesn't bring Bioware and Pandemic down to it's pathetic level. Though why do I get the feeling that it will happen?

Ultimately, though EA throw out a lot of consistent rubbish, it's not been all bad. Personally I think that C&C Generals was a solid game, though somewhat different from the others in the series. So I'm not losing all hope just yet, despite the signs not being good.

This is true, but they keep more consistent rubbish than they get rid of. I think we all are hoping that is going to be a good thing in the long run though I very seriously doubt it.:D

Now wait, Did they actually get entirely bought, or are they just in a publishing agreement?

Oh no, that's not good news.
It's unfortunate that I'm forced to buy from EA. >>>SPORE!<<< Oh well.
