After a poor showing in the first ODI, England have bounced back to take a 2-1 series lead. As I type England are also going well in the fourth, and potentially decisive test.

Admittedly Sri Lanka are without a certain man who is one of the best spin bowlers who has ever lived. But regardless, this would still be an excellent victory for England.

England have won the fourth ODI by 5 wickets to take the series, their first ever in Sri Lanka and their first on the subcontinent for 20 years. Sri Lanka are not a bad ODI side by any stretch of the imagination and it seems like England are finally heading in the right direction.

An excellent victory overall. I must admit that the England cricket team has come on leaps and bounds since the Ashes embarrassment. We just need to start performing in the major tournaments now.
