So, the Islanders opened last night with a win in Buffalo. This makes me a happy camper indeed. The Comrie/Fedetenko/Guerin line in particular excites me, considering the Isles are now 4-0 (counting preseason) in games that have that line, and the fact that together they put up 10 points last night. :link:
So yeah, post about the most important sport here.

(excusing the actual bumping of this thread itself).
We can now once again return to the lull that is the summer before hockey season. Trade speculation and outlandish rumors come forth!
Melrose to Tampa Bay, Wilson to Toronto, Milberry (or Torts) to San Jose, it can all come back out now that the cup has been won. :)

Might be unnecessary, but split (http://forums.gamewinners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=566372).

I'm just glad that hockey is over :D But the Leafs aren't going to be making any big moves, I'm sure of that. Even if we get Ron Wilson, we're going to suck for years to come and it's not going to change anytime soon.

I don't think the Leafs'll be in "development" mode for THAT long, realistically. They'll have a couple of more years, I'd think, and then return to their glory days.
Personally, I'm hoping that Dallas keeps the team together as best as they can and makes another run at the cup. They got very close this year, and the kids have improved tremendously. So, next year could very well be their year.

I dunno how many of you have had the opportunity to watch CBC's Hockey Night in Canada besides our Canadian members, but for those of you that have, set your faces to 'rage':
