I think it is... the 4 player co-op, forge editor, theator, and almost every weapon imaginable.... It just wins.

I voted for the beta just to mess with your poll, but yes it's obviously the best of the 3 games to date, for all the reasons you listed above.

I think that Halo 3 is definatly the best of the 3, but you can't go wrong with the first two as well. I voted for all of them because each game has something that makes the game really enjoyable.

Halo CE's campaign was amazing, the weapons were decent (especially the pistol) the maps were fun to play, everything on the first halo was great.

Halo 2, had the best multiplayer IMO, the weapons were simular, and there were new upgrades of course, such as the style of MC armor, more weapons, more maps etc.

Halo 3, has awesome graffics, features, weapons and vehicles. Halo 3 is basically Halo 2 continued when it comes to the whole storyline, because it goes straight from Halo 2, to Halo 3 (I believe or so it seems...) Halo CE had books filling in the gaps between Halo and Halo 2. All in all, it mixes both Halo games together, plus your adding in its own upgrades making it the best Halo game so far, the multiplayer is amazing and so is the storyline.

I voted for Halo: CE. The surprise of the Flood in the campaign was a great twist. I liked how the story had more of the Covenant in Halo 2 and I wish Halo 3 had some more of that, but I think Halo 3 probably had the best levels to play on. I'm unable to get xbox live... Unable to get broadband internet... Curses... But I'd say that Halo 3 has the best multiplayer going for it too. But still I vote for Halo: CE. Halo 3 is a good second place though.

all of them. I just couldn't decide. Halo 3 is way short, when 2 and 1 are fairly long. However, the storyline is way better and the multiplayer is 1,000 times better.

The first game gets my vote. Single player was so memorable, I played through it so many times the first summer I got my Xbox. (Except the Library. :P) System link was also amazing with friends. Halo 3's single player levels were actually fun again, I really enjoyed them. Multiplayer is even better with all of the new additions. Halo 3 is a close second, but right now I have to give Halo: CE the vote just because of all the great times I've had playing it.

It's the best multiplayer, but the first two's stories and campaign rock, so I voted for them all. Gameplay-wsie, 3 rocks the hardest.

haven't played H3's campaign, but so far the multi-player is something special. It probably wouldn't have the same affect as Halo 1 did on me, but it is definitely really close

The originals that come out of nowhere always seem to be the most impressive (Bioshock & Splinter Cell, for example) than the sequels that follow, although they are generally very good and impressive as well, they can really never quite captue the essence of the original...

I think Halo CE's single player still wins, but over all I think Halo 3 had the best stuff, Halo 2 was only really fun in multiplayer. I like Halo 3 just a bit more than Halo CE, then Halo 2.

First one, by miles. The single player of 2 and 3 dont come close....the other two feel like expansions with new short lvls, choppy plot, new guns, vehicles and new maps...nothing special. The multilayer maps in CE are still my favorite and the pistol is bad ass. You feel like you are a part of something greater in Halo 1.

I voted for three becasue the weapons are good, the levels are fun, it is short but multiplayer makes up for it.

I love them all. You have to love the original, because it started it all. Then Halo 2, even though I didn't like how the story was mostly about the religious battle with the Covenant, though they should have put (some) of it in Halo 3. But Halo 2 was great. Then Halo 3 has better almost everything, especially graphics, they were the first thing I noticed at first.

I voted Halo 3, but it only won out narrowly for me over CE. Like some people have already said - the first time I played Halo CE single player was just magical. I think the first game probably had the best plot, and single player levels, but Halo 3 only gets over the line because of it having an outstanding multiplayer and Live setup. A reasonably good plot, fairly good campaign level structure, new weapons/equipment/vehicles etc. also help.

Halo 3 wins in my book, mainly because I never played enough of the first Halo to really get into it before Halo 2 came out, and then I got into Halo 2. And now, Halo 3 has replaced Halo 2. That doesn't mean I'll never go back and play any of the other Halo games. In fact I was just playing a little Halo PC the other day, just for kicks. :)

Halo CE gets my vote. Halo 3 is way better than Halo 2 but I think the first game is better than both by far. There's just something about the first game that 2 and 3 are missing. I only wish Halo CE was available to play on Xbox Live, the PC version just isn't the same.
