Today I put a CD on my computer. The only problem is that even though it is a completely legal CD that I bought, the album art in iTunes won't show up. I tried to obtain the album art through iTunes and they said I have to register with iTunes in order to obtain it. Big problem is that they want to charge me just to join the stinkin thing, and all I want is the album art.

Is there a way to get that album art to the CD into iTunes without joining it?

It may just require a credit card without actually charging you... did it actually say it was charging you for something?

i believe that itunes only has access to album art that it sells on its store. if they do not sell the album that you have, it will not find it. if you really want the album art, there are many widgets that claim to find every album art.

Well it doesn't say its going to charge me, but it doesn't say its not going to charge me. It doesn't even say why they want my credit card information.

Where can I find these widgets your talking about?

You can find widgets here: http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/
and many other places. Just do a google search.

It asks you for your credit card information because it will automatically access that information on your account should you ever wish to purchase something from the iTunes store. Just by signing up and putting that information in, it also allows you access to the iTunes weekly free downloads (which tend to be pretty good). I promise it won't charge you without your permission or at least letting you know first, and I also promise it's worth it to sign up.

Indeed, the credit card information is there simply in the event that you buy something from the store. I've been a member on iTunes for ages, but only recently bought my first (and probably last) song from it. I'd never been charged anything on the card connected to iTunes before buying that song.

I dont know if this is the same for the Mac version of iTunes but cant you just go to get info and click and drag the album artwork to it?

To save myself from making another thread, I'll put another question here.

Ever since I got this thing a couple weeks ago I haven't been able to get Quicktime to stream videos in my browser. I could use Quicktime for anything on my PC, but even with updates and stuff Quicktime won't stream on my Macintosh. For instance, the other day I was trying to stream a video from a website, I left for a 3 hour class, came back and nothing had happened. It was still that same old blue Q just sitting there. Any ideas whats wrong?

Just wondering, do you have any kind of firewall running?

In the past I had my firewall to block outbound connections for Quicktime, and it had the question mark, because it were not able to connect to the net to stream anything.

Where about is the weekly free download on iTunes?

Under the "staff favorites" there's a section for "free on itunes"
there's more than one download now. Used to be just one.

In fact I don't even have a firewall turned on.

Most the time its not the Q with the question mark over it that I get. I would sAY 97% of the time its just the blue Q just sitting there with nothing happening. No question marks.
