"You leaf-eating, tree-hugging, California sissy. I'm not even sure I want to see the map, seeing as I could barely even look at his drawing of Remy and Soleo without wincing. And this criticism of his abilities with the creative arts brings us to his RPing. I have NEVER heard such a bland, emotionless poster in all of my years of RPing, and I've done it for a WHILE. His battle posts are usually minimalist in nature, and they usually end up in a soggy, god-modding ridden, putrid mass of what seems to be whale vomit. He's a failure at the forums, and that is quite possibly the most pathetic thing you could ever achieve."

Jarek was growing impatient.

"The Map?!?"

"Jarek, come here."

Rengal waved for Jarek to come belowdecks. When he did, Rengal put down a magical map.

"So, where is our current location?"

[Aura]

"We are on the top, in the middle of that little dent in the landscape right above the lake."

OOC: Pretty good digital, and it looks almost natural.

"Right. So, I propose you either use that sword of yours to cut through ALL of the earth so we can get the ship through, or we skirt the north."

[Aura]

"I have another idea. As I have said, water fetches a high price in Alexan. I say that we run to the lake, load this sword with water, then take it back to the ship, fill buckets with water, repeat. And because the water is an element, it will filter out everything except for water. It is how mages stay hydrated when sailing the oceans. Anyway, we go to Alexan, and sell the water for money."

"That's cruel, to sell it to them. It is their land, and they should get the water for themselves."

"We managed to break through the Serva blockade. There is a chain of boats running around the island. They blocked out the Alexan trade ships. Look, I don't have money. I'm going to sell it below the average price. I will then take the money, sail back to Sol'jin, and buy weapons for them. I will sail back and give them the weapons."

"I'll stay here, then. They'll need as many forces as possible. I suppose Drel is going with you."

[Aura]

"Drel and his group will stay with me on the runs, but stay on the shore with you while I go to buy new weapons."

"Okay."

[Aura]

"So, during this time, what will you be doing? Will you be attacking Serva, staying on the boat, exploring Serva, or explore Alexan?

"I'll be staying on the boat. I think they need a cook, and I won't be of much help with only myself."

[Aura]

"Very well."

Rengal walked off a plank and onto the island, Drel's unit following.

While they were off, Carnane started to prepare the fish he had gotten the previous day, still as fresh as the day it was caught because he stored it in the magitech fridge in the hold. Amazing what you could steal from The Arrow.

OOC: You guys didn't go to Moss Rock...

After awhile, the fish was cooked. Jarek had an excellent meal.

OOC: Psychic powers, ftw.

"Come and get it!" he yelled to the sailors, hoping they heard.

OOC: I have something for you, as well as a favor to ask of you. Ask over PM.

The sailors ran, sat down, and began eating. After the meal, they thanked Jarek, then went back to...whatever they do.

"Good, now I suppose I should go see what Rengald is doing."

Jark looked over the site of the ship and saw Rengal, Drel, and his group being chased by people in full metal suits riding...what the hell are those?

"Jarek! Open the door!"

Jarek swung open the emergency hatch door, ushering the people inside.

[Aura]

The hull was being pounded with...metal...fragments of some sort?

"Jarek, we are about to die. Serva has the most advanced Magitech on Illuyad. Those things they were riding were Magitech cruisers."

OOC: Imagine a silver jet ski that hovers above the ground.

OOC: That advanced? Wow.

Jarek had to think quickly.

"Uhh...I think if you give me some magic, I can create a Holy Aura big enough to protect the ship."

[Aura]

OOC: Magitech creates very futuristic things.

"This sword has a bit of holy power. Take it."

Rengal passed Absolution to Jarek. It was very light, and Jarek could feel the power of the sword as he held it.

OOC2: Bullets are what is being fired at you.

OOC: Kinda guessed that.

Jarek built up the power in his core, allowing it to concentrate into a maleable source of energy. Using all of his mind power, he forced the magic out, blasting it outwards, encompassing the entire boat.

"Rengal, get it moving!"

[Aura]

"These things can go over fifty miles per hour over water. We need to fight back!"

Jarek, sweating from the concentration, smiled.

"Well, get your weapons ready, everyone, and someone get on the ballistas!"

Jarek held on to the aura for as long as he could, but this time he overloaded it with power. It exploded outwards, knocking a few of the warriors off their transports. He threw Absolution over to Rengal.

"There. Now, it will be a fight!"

[Aura]

Drel leaped from the top and began to attack the riders. Jarek watched Drel as, one by one, the men fell. His attacks were berserk and wild, but elegant and accurate.

Jarek, in the meantime, was taking care of the rest of them that were in the water. He unleashed a couple of Harsh Judgments on them, hoping to knock them off.

The raiders were either in the ocean, or killed.

"Jarek, two of those cruisers work. Shall we take them to the lake?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Sounds good."

[Aura]

Rengal leaped from the boat, sat on one of the cruisers, and took off.

Jarek followed suit, jumping onto one of them and...nothing.

"How the hell do you ride one of these things?"

[Aura]

"Pull on the right handle."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Right."

Jarek pulls on the handle, as is blasted back by the force of its torque. He flies towards the island, catching up to Rengal.

[Aura]

"Get onto the beach. And hurry."

[Addicted to Oi!]

Jarek ditched his ride on the sand, and waited for further instruction.

[Aura]

"Get on it. We're going to the lake."

[Addicted to Oi!]

Jarek got back on and started making his way to the large lake.

OOC: You put Absol back up...:(

OOC: I want to see what I get.

The two finially arrived at the lake. It crossed the width of eyesight.

OOC: Seriously? Nothing. It's regular, and low-levelled. You're better off using it yourself.

"It's oddly beautiful, actually."

[Aura]

"Indeed, Alexan Lake is always calming."

"Where did the others go?"

[Aura]

"They already left. They are trying to find the nearest Serva fort."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"So, are we supposed to fend off the lake until they find it?"

[Aura]

"No, we are here to stop them from following us. They can tell that we are their enemy because we are near their base."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"How do we go about that?"

[Aura]

"We fire the guns, then run like hell. There is a rumor that they have an airship."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"That seems good. Now, what do we do if we seem to be outnumbered and surrounded?"

[Aura]

"We turn these things and run across the ocean until we lose them."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"From an airship? Highly unlikely."

[Aura]

"They will eventually tire. And if they don't, we ride as fast as we can."

"No fuel source? Magitech is truly amazing. Now, let's go, I suppose."

"Magitech runs on mana. Did you not know that Magitech caused Prage's rise to power. Would you like to hear the story?"

"No, Carnane already heard it. So, it runs on the planet's energy?"

[Aura]

"Rather, on the electrical element of magic. But, it is the same idea."

OOC: Look at my stuff for trade.

"Wouldn't I be able to fuel it with my own mana to give it a boost, theoretically?"

[Aura]

"The mana that one person makes is so minor, it would not be worth anything. It is like the air from one plant would not matter, but the air from all of the plants would."

"What if that person acted as a wire between a non-natural, magical object and Magitech? Say, a weapon? I would think that some weapons' mana could surpass many peoples'."

[Aura]

"Well, if they had an Elemental Seal with a surplus of elements, then it could be used as fuel."

"I will have to study up on Mana theories once this is all done..."

OOC: This is ACTUALLY what I do in real life. I take absurd ideas, and try to rationalize them using science. It's fun.

"I am a scholar, so I have learned. You seem more of the fighter type."

Jarek laughed.

"Well, I suppose, but magic is what makes me powerful. I wouldn't be a responsible Paladin if I didn't study up on it, would I? Much more interesting than 'swing sword forward'."

[Aura]

"You don't hava a Holy aura. Most Paladins do."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Hmph. I'm a Holy Warrior, that's basically what Paladin means. I'm still in training, yes, but the spark's still there."

[Aura]

"Really? Which legion? Who is your trainer? Your commander?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Actually, Paladins were only rarely in organizations. They mostly were remnants of the Crusades that were blessed by the Vatican. In lore, however, they were mighty warriors that carried the power of the heavens."

[Aura]

"There were never any crusades, and what the hell is a Vatican?"

"Your inferior knowledge is depressing, Rengal."

[Aura]

"Stop bringing in references from other worlds."

"Fine. Paladins are mainly the guards for temples and churches, but can carry holy power bestowed upon them by the gods."

[Aura]

"That depends on which religion they follow."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Actually, only the powers they exhibit differs. They still HAVE powers, but you might have holy magic that takes its form in nature, fire, shadow magic (which can be holy, believe it or not), etc."

"Holy magic is Holy magic. Fire magic is fire magic. Holy magic is not fire magic."

"Actually, what you consider Holy magic is really LIGHT magic. Holy magic is truly any type of magic bestowed upon the user by a higher power or deity."

"Fine, light magic it is."

Gun fire could be heard in the distance.

"Let's hurry."

Jarek jumped back on his land cruiser, and sped towards the Leviathan.

[Aura]

"First, the boat isn't called the Leviathan. Second, wrong way. Go to the sounds."

"What? Why are we heading towards THAT?!"

[Aura]

"I'm not letting Drel and his group die."

[Addicted to Oi!]

Jarek grunted.

"You're stubborn, but I guess we have no choice."

[Aura]

"Had you a tare for other people, you would do the same thing."

The duo arrived shortly. Drel and his group were running through ten-foot tall grass while being followed by cruisers.

"I do have a 'care' for other people, Rengal. I'm also ever the realist, and I can't see anything we can do for those specific people if we're DEAD!!!" said Jarek as he pulled out Hist with his left hand, keeping his right hand on the handle of the cruiser.

[Aura]

"Absolution is one of the more...magical Legend Blades. Observe."

Rengal held the sword into the air. Suddenly, time stopped.

Jarek was amazed.

"So, what do we do now? Our weapons won't work, nor will our guns."

[Aura]

"Observe."

Rengal began walking through the glass. Slicing metal could be heard.

[Addicted to Oi!]

"What are you doing?"

[Aura]

"I'm cutting these Serva fighters. You?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Wondering what the noises were."

Jarek had already started working on the Servan fighters.

OOC: No idea where we are.

[Aura]

OOC: Tall grass somewhere.

At each swing, a hover craft was sliced in half.

Oh, and level up +2 for everything.

Jarek looked around. It looked like Rengal was done.

[Aura]

"Now..."

Time returned to normal. The cruisers began moving again, and they were going crazy across the field.

"Get away, now!"

Jarek ran out of the way of the cruisers, one having to be stopped by his Holy Aura.

[Aura]

"They know we're here. Try to get onto one if it comes near you, mercenary group. Jarek, come with me."

Rengal, as usual, sped away.

Jarek jumped on one just as it was speeding towards him and throttled it in Rengal's direction.

[Aura]

"I was talking to the mercenary group. You have your own, Jarek."

They soon reached a town. The might blend in.

"Do we have a change of clothes? False papers, anything?"

[Aura]

"We look like every other Serva citizen-normal. Don't act weird, and we'll be fine."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Right."

Jarek was sure to leave his swords on the cruiser as he followed Rengal inside the town.

[Aura]

They arrived at the town. Everything was made of metal, there were semi-transparent things (holograms) everywhere, and overall it was very different than the usual town.

"Amazing...this technology is eons beyond our own. I can't believe this all was being developed under my nose."

[Aura]

"It has taken a long time to make this. Few people know that it is this advanced."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Do they just use the power-hungry empire mask as a disguise for their sciences?"

[Aura]

"Serva is a fighter task force and a Magitech research group hired by Shearald, the merchant."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"This merchant you speak of, what does he mainly deal in?"

[Aura]

"He has backhand deals with assassinations. He deals death. He also makes chemicals that induce earthly pleasures, increase fighting ability, or kill people."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"A rogue alchemist. Just fantastic. You know that Draught of Living Death isn't a knockout poison if used on the dead? It actually raises them into a half-life of sorts."

[Aura]

"Anyway, yeah, he sells poisons for assassinations. It got him quite rich, so he bought Serva. Serva used to be a good group, and still is. They, however, are far too loyal."

"So, couldn't we end this if we proved to the Servans that he was dealing with 'less-than-good' practices?"

[Aura]

"Serva deals only with money. To stop their conquest, we need to show Shearald that the Alexan will never hand over their land."

OOC: You're going to reach 10k by the end of the month, just like I said. Heck, you're going to reach it today.

"I doubt we can just go up to Shearald, even with Absolution. I'm guessing he's taken to Recon in the air ship."

[Aura]

"Oh, no. He just sits back like all the other merchants without going to the warland."

OOC: I have no idea why I got it.

"Wait, so he's not even here? That coward..."

[Aura]

OOC: *insert the U.S. President reference*

"All people in power are usually not fighters."

OOC: Dwight Eisenhower. That's all to say. Oh, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the greatest president of all time, led us through WWII and the Depression while fighting a pretty bad case of Polio.

"Well, I suppose Drel has come back with the money by now, correct?"

[Aura]

"Do mean that it is time to pay him? Honestly...I have not paid him yet. He refuses to accept money."

"No, didn't we get the water to sell? Oh, that's right, we still have to take it to the Alexan."

[Aura]

"We should go to the boat."

Jarek and Rengal arrived at the boat. Drel and his group had buckets full of water.

"You ready, Rengal?"

"I'm ready, are you, Rengal?" asked Jarek, determination coursing through his vains.

[Aura]

"Yes. We need to sail close to the shore to avoid sight by the blockade, which is about six miles from shore."

[Addicted to Oi!]

Jarek suddenly had an idea.

"Hey, wait a minute: if the blade only absorbs water, and nothing else, couldn't you just take the water from the ocean, and NOT pass through all of the Servan blockades and such? We could do it much nearer to the Alexan tribes."

[Aura]

"An excellent idea. Agreed. We shall do that later. First, we need to find a port town."

Jarek climbed up to the crow's nest, using a telescope that Drel gave him.

"I think I see a small colony about 2 leagues to the west. It looks like a fishing community."

[Aura]

The group soon arrived at the Alexan port.

"Don't look at the Alexans. Here."

Rengal tied a band around Jarek's eyes.

"A superstition? How odd."

[Aura]

"No, this is different. In this town, nobody wears clothes."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Oh. I'm not so immature to stare at people because of their unique customs."

[Aura]

"If you insist."

Indeed, there were tanned people wiith no clothes on. The huts were tree branches and colored animal hides.

"So, do we just bring the water onto the land?"

[Aura]

"We need to sell it at the local market."

[Addicted to Oi!]

Jarek was sure to stick to Rengal as they made their way through the community towards the marketplace.

Drel's group was there, selling water.

"Rengal, we've got about 300 coins for just a few buckets!"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"How many buckets do we have left?"

[Aura]

"About twenty. We sold four already."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"75 coins a bucket. Nice profit."

[Aura]

"Thank you sir. And we've been here for about two minutes."

Another bucket was sold.

Jarek turned to Rengal.

"You know, against the Servan forces, any weapons we buy will be next to useless without enchantments."

[Aura]

"The Serva forces are spread out. The Alexan are quite constricted. If one town invades one Serva fort, the Alexan would have more people."

"You know, only the Fuzzies of East Africa have ever broken the Musket Square. And that was only one."

Seeing Rengal's confused face, Jarek started over.

"What wins? 100 sticks, or one sword?"

[Aura]

"These people are known for their skill with a spear and a sword, both made of metal. They have metal mines that are still in Alexan territory."

"It was an analogy. With technology as advanced as the Servan forces have, it would make more sense if these people learn magic, something that could match the might of Magitech, maybe not head-on, but magic is a subtle art."

[Aura]

"If YOU saw thousands of naked men running at you, would you run?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Not if I had the stuff the Servans have."

[Aura]

"I think that if you saw naked men running at you, you would feel afraid."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"I might feel concerned, yes, but I would have bullets, and they would have nothing to stop them."

"Jarek, penises are no laughing matter."

"I already know that, a wise man once...put it in his CT."

"Wise? Hardly."

Jarek muttered under his breath.

"...Wiser than your mom..."

Rengal pulled out his sword and pointed it at Jarek.

"Just because my mother was Alexan doesn't give you a right to insult her."

"Your mom's so stupid, she thought Jar Jar comes with Pickles Pickles!"

Oh, snap indeed.

"You shut the f*ck up. I am ready to silence you should you insult her again."

"Fine, fine. I wasn't even insulting your mom."

"My mother died at the hands of Serva, and I will have my revenge against them. You won't stop me."

He was much more informal now.

"I'm sorry, Rengal. I'll do whatever I can to help you."

"You can't tell, but I am half Alexan. I must help my fellow brothers and sisters. And, this town is the only...unclothed one."

"Really? Well, maybe they'll accept armor, if we can get some."

[Aura]

"They dislike armor. Instead, they prefer their tribal fur for clothing. It provides armor, and is very flexible."

"Tribal fur, huh? Bear skins are actually fairly effective against swords, especially if you leave the skin on. Tons of fiberous tissue that swords have a tough time tearing through."

[Aura]

"Boars and wild ox are the most common. There are few bears on this island."

"Oxen are still okay. But they don't have the fur that you need."

[Aura]

"Eh, they use what they can get."

"Good. Now, are we on our way?"

[Aura]

"Yes. Drel will sell the rest."

Jarek made his way back to the boat, waiting for the group.

When the group returned, they had bags of money.

"Now, to break through the blockdade. Drel, are the cannons ready?"

"Yes, sir."
