They finially reached the church. The priest was ripping out a man's muscles as he was alive, screaming in pain. The floor was covered in blood.

Jarek doubled back, obviously disgusted and infuriated.

"You bastard! I'll show you the true retribution the wicked deserve!"

Jarek ran at the priest, swinging his swords in a flurry of movement, trying his hardest to push him back. But it was to no avail, as the priest easily dodged the blows. He punched Jarek hard in the stomach, making him double over in pain, and kicked him back to the door. Jarek got up, blood pouring from his mouth.

"Ugh...it hurts! How does he have that strength?"

[Aura]

The priest was differently dressed. Instead of the normal white robe, he was wearing an orange hood and orange robes, the normal clothing of the Demonic Church of Prage. He quickly grabbed a lumpy wooden staff and began swinging it around, each swing sending out a sharp blade of dark energy.

"Rengal! I don't know how to fight this guy, any ideas?"

Jarek had taken to attacking the priest, blocking whatever attacks he could and trying to attack back. The priest blocked them all, and blasted Jarek back with one swipe of dark energy. Jarek grunted in pain.

"Holy Aura!"

An opaque bubble of energy encircled Jarek, protecting him for a while from the man's attacks.

[Aura]

"Stay back. He is far too strong for you."

Rengal pulled out a rather different looking sword and cleaved cleanly through the priest's body.

"Who are you?"

Jarek stared down at the man's body, noticed the staff. He had an idea. He stabbed it with Gathol, his dark blade, and muttered a few little spells. He was trying to absorb the dark energy into the blade itself.

[Aura]

"You are trying to draw dark magic into a weapon which does not have magical abilities? Don't."

Rengal placed his sword onto the staff. Dark energy began flowing through the blade, then it faded.

Anger enveloped Jarek's mind.

"You...stole that energy from me when I had claimed it. It was MY POWER!!!"

Jarek lunged at the man, his swords ready.

[Aura]

"You are going to kill me over dark energy? How pitiful."

Rengal pulled his sword and aimed it at Jarek.

"Do you know what you are up against?"

"Ground Control!"

Fire shot out from Jarek, blasting into the man.

"You will not steal my power!!!"

[Aura]

"What is this? This is Infection Energy. For you to drain it would mean that you would turn into a demon."

Rengal easily parried the blow.

OOC: Just a hint, but look at the new thread in "The World of Illuyad" to give you an idea of what you are fighting.

"GIVE ME BACK THE POWER!!!"

Jarek was in full rage, the wound in his stomach sealing up due to some sort of dark magic. He swung at the man, which he easilly blocked, but Jarek followed this up with a hard punch to the stomach.

"HALANA, VITROS, SUTHOS!" shouted Jarek in an attempt to call upon dark magic.

[Aura]

OOC: You DID look at the new thread, right?

"For a holy fighter, you are quick to turn evil. Do you really want to face the power of this,"

Rengal held his sword into the air.

"Absolution."

[Addicted to Oi!]

OOC: Of course. But, you'll see where this is going. A bit cliche', though.

"PHAYTRA!"

Jarek screamed as a bolt of dark energy came from his hand, flying fast towards the man.

"MY POWER IS MINE ALONE!!!"

[Aura]

"I really don't understand you. I think that you absorbed Infection, and it has tainted your mind. Expel!"

OOC: Expel is an exorcism spell.

OOC: Dude, you can't top me on relgious/demonic spells. I've played all three of the Shin Megami Tensei RPGs for the PS2. I know what Expel is. By the way, some of the best RPGs EVER.

The magic hit Jarek like a boulder.

"Gah! Get it out, get it out!" he yelled with a pained voice.

"I CONTROL YOU, AND I WILL HAVE MY POWER. RENGAL, YOU DIE NOW!"

Jarek rushed at the man, but this time stopped midway throwing down his weapons.

"It hurts! It hurts so much!"

[Aura]

"Fūin no Tsurugi!"

Rengal held his sword, and placed it on Jarek's head. The spirit transfered itself into Absolution.

Jarek sat up, rubbing his head.

"Oi, vei, that was a mushugena."

He bopped it for a second, and was back to his original state.

"You know, that wasn't me there, but...I still can't shake this feeling that I wanted that power myself."

He got up.

"I'll find my own dark energy one day. It can't be all evil, and one might just be the kind of balance I desire."

[Aura]

"You seem to be ignoring the fact that I have the sword Absolution in my hand."

Jarek looked up.

"So? It's a sword, legendary or not. I have a mondo problem right now, and you fought me."

[Aura]

"Mondo? What is that?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Another word for big. Large, giant."

Jarek got up with some bit of strained effort.

"Now, I'll bid you adieu. I'm off to enchant these babies!"

[Aura]

"Those things are just tightly compact gravel and paint. You are going to need weapons decent enough to enchant. Also, you changed."

"They're not gravel, I know that. My dad made these, and he was a metalworker. He stayed away from rock, as rock blades chipped easily."

[Aura]

"No, I meant...here. Give me the blades."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Sure."

Jarek handed Rengal the blades.

[Aura]

"How calm."

He threw the swords into the air, then he cleanly sliced through both of them with Absolution. Suddenly, they turned to ash, and Jarek's old blades lay on the ground.

"DUDE! F*ck you, seriously!"

[Aura]

"What? I was simply improving them. Gathol and Hist are rather weak, and it seems that your swords you have here are..."

Rengal placed down Absolution and picked up the two dirks.

"very, very different."

"Hehe, no. It's Gathol and Hist or nothing. Dirks aren't as good as Gladiuses in battle readiness and wear-and-tear."

[Aura]

"Sorry, your updater thought that they were dirks. They are gladiuses. And rather interesting. Hmm..."

Jarek's curiosity was peaked.

"Oh, really? How so?"

[Aura]

"They have a different magical signature, as if they are magical. Do you mind if I study them?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"No, but they're my only weapons, be careful!"

[Aura]

"They seem to have the qualities of Elemental Seals. Elemental Seals can absorb elements into themselves, then release it when needed. They are somewhat like a storage, of sorts. They can be useful for putting out fires. Absolution is an Elemental Seal."

"Wow. But, wait, to use Seals you need Spirit Seal, right?"

[Aura]

"Spirit Seals deal with spirits. Elemental Seals deal with elements. Here, let me teach it to you."

"Wow, that's awesome! Thanks, Rengal. But, I have to ask, is there any type of dark energy that's safe for me to absorb? I still like the idea of striking a balance with my thoughts, and with my weapons. That's why one blade being dark didn't urk me."

"If it is held in your blade, then it will be fine. Let the dark energy loose, and it will hurt you. Control it."

Jarek fell quiet. He understood a lot more after this.

"Rengal, I have to ask you something. Why, after Prage's death, are there still churches?"

[Aura]

"People still support evil people long after their death."

OOC: Like Hitler or Saddam.

OOC: Actually, what's weird is, the Nazi movement started off as a worker's union, and eventually evolved into the hateful, violent, sadistic group of bastards, just like Communism. I'm looking out for the Meat Workers 405th.

"Those bastards. Well, I can't sleep peacefully while this kind of evil is going on...and to think I use to worship here."

"Don't you find it odd that you had never seen that priest before? Anyway, now he is dead. I'm waiting for the old priests to arrive."

"Actually, I never talked to the Priests. I worshipped, sayed my prayers, and left. Socializing is best left to outside the church."

"How odd. Which gods did you pray to? Which religion are you?"

OOC: I should make a guide of the Illuyad religions.

"No religion, just holyness. I pray so that I support the peaceful and holy are protected."

"Basically, I think that set religions get in the way of my faith in redemption."

"What an interesting theory. Oh, and if you ever tell anybody that I have Absolution, you won't be happy."

Jarek laughed mirthfully.

"Please, I don't really know what that thing is. There would be no use for me to tell anyone."

"Absolution is one of the Legend Blades."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"That's fine, good for you."

[Aura]

"...do you know what a Legend Blade is...?"

OOC: Legend Blades could have killed Prage in one hit.

"No, but I'm sure they're powerful. I don't want one, though. If I'm not meant to have one, I'm not. Congratulations, though."

"The Legend Blades? Phantom Tear? Lost Paradise? Faded Memories? The most powerful swords in existance?"

Jarek was getting a bit annoyed.

"I told you, I've never heard of them."

[Aura]

"Very well."

Rengal walked out of the temple.

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Man, that guy was uppity. Well, I suppose...hold on."

Jarek noticed a scroll clutched tightly in the priest's hand.

"What's this?"

[Aura]

The scroll read "The world will end at the hands of the Demonic Church of Prage. Gather flesh, and deliver it to our great headquarters. Prepare the resurrection of Prage!"

Jarek's face went white.

"Ressurection? Oh, no. I must tell Rengal!"

Jarek raced out of the door towards Rengal's house, hoping to see him.

[Aura]

As Jarek turned the corner, he saw Rengal fighting a thug.

Well, this'll last long, Jarek thought to himself.

He approched the two.

[Aura]

Rengal quickly slashed through the thug's axe and cleanly through his body.

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Right, that took no time. Rengal, I found this on the priest's body."

Jarek handed the note to the fighter.

[Aura]

Rengal looked over the note, then dashed straight for the harbor.

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Oh, dammit to hell all of this running."

Jarek was expecting this, though, and he raced after the man.

[Aura]

Rengal was yelling with a man on a ship. Finially, Rengal shook his head, sliced through the man, then leapt on board.

"Hurry up, Jarek!"

However, as Rengal said this, a group of five people, a fisherman, an archer, a mage, a...whatever the hell Evo is, and a man in black walked off a boat.

"Uhh, Rengal, how about we NOT kill someone, and just steal a boat with no one on it?"

OOC: Druid in training. And that was kind of a weak meet post.

"He was a ruthless pirate who killed my father. I have a right to steal his boat, as well as kill him."

OOC: Not as weak as your mom was last night. OOH, BURN!

"Well, that was quite the coincedence."

Jarek had followed him on deck.

"Rengal held the pirates at swordpoint, yelling at them to do things.

OOC: I need to add Drow Epic to my sig, because I FINALLY GOT IT UP!!!

"Well, Rengal, where are we going?"

[Aura]

"We are going to the Alexan Planes."

[Addicted to Oi!]

OOC: Join Drow Epic, please. I need some Illuyadians there, other than Magneto. It's pretty good, actually, and it would mean a lot.

"Alexan Planes...Alexan Planes...shouldn't it be Plains?" asked Jarek.

[Aura]

"I was simply wondering if you would catch that. Yes, we are going to the Alexan Plains."

"Well, full sail ahead, Cap'n!"

Jarek saluted Rengal.

[Aura]

"Please don't give me a title."

Rengal began to hit people with his sword if they were not working hard enough.

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Oh, now, come on. You don't have to hit people, Rengal. Just threaten to take away their booze."

Jarek's comment was actually fairly historically accurate. Alcohol was one of the largest imports in Europe, and it was also the hottest commodity on the vast warships of the Age of Exploration.

"Very well."

Rengal takes all of the alcohol and puts it in his cabin.

OOC: I made a map of the Alexan Plains.

OOC: World of Illuyad? I'll be sure to check it out. And it's kind of weird to see Goku gone, eh? Then again, it's weird to see Goku at all.

Jarek stood at the edge of the boat, the wind whipping past his ears.

"Hey, Rengal, what's in Alexan Plains?"

[Aura]

"On the Alexan Plains is a power struggle between the Serva and the Alexan."

"Why are we going there if Prage is the one we're after?"

Jarek was being told a lot of things he did not understand.

[Aura]

"Because we need to deal with this first."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"There's a conflict between people I've never heard, or an invincible Demon lord being ressurected. Why are we going to the former first?"

[Aura]

"...fine."

Rengal turned the boat and sailed toward Alrozane. There was a 300 mile gap between Alrozane and Ulterphane, and would take about five days to get there.

"Sorry I'm so edgy, Rengal, just that whole situation irked me at first with the priest."

[Aura]

"Illuyad is a lawless land that we live in. We must adapt if we are to survive. Adapt, or have a powerful weapon."

"Hmph. Well, where are we off to, now?"

OOC: I'm only waiting until one more person joins Drow Epic, then I'm starting. I'm just having a bit of trouble with it.

"To try to find the lair of these priests of the Church."

"Even someone as powerful as you doesn't know where they are on a daily basis?"

[Aura]

"I am actually not strong. I was merely blessed to become the next owner of Absolution."

"So there have been previous owners, fascinating. After all of this is done, I would like very much to learn more about these blades."

[Aura]

"Okay. Sleep in the captain's cabin. I'll make sure these guys do their job."

Jarek noticed how tired he was. A lot happened in this day, and he was very weary about what was going to come up. He made his way through the cabins to the captain's door, and immediately flopped down on the bed inside.

[Aura]

A knock on the door awoke Jarek.

"We're being attack by some sort of large squid. Come out, quickly!"

[Addicted to Oi!]

Jarek shot up, his weapons already out of their sheathes. He ran up on deck, and sure enough, there was the Squid, its tentacles wrapped up on both sides of the boat.

"What the hell? I thought these were calm waters!!!"

[Aura]

"You can never tell."

Rengal began slashing at the tentacles.

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Harsh Judgement!"

A beam of light fell upon one of the tentacles, smashing it into the boards. Jarek ran up and slashed the tentacle continuously, hoping to cut it open and make it let go of the ship.

[Aura]

"Wonderful job smashing the boat! We really could use a hole!"

Rengal slashed through the last tentacle oh his side, then ran over to Jarek's side.
