Soleo walked downstairs and asked the woman "Where lies your area of combat?"

"Well, ever since you got onto this ship, you've muttered every single sentence. Either Ryan is running out of ideas, or you are angry at me."

"I'm not very proud of my past, 'kay?"...she muttered.

"Why? Were you a magical prostitute?"

OOC: The reference is lost on me. Never got THAT far in Symphonia.

"I'm just saying, I don't like talking about it. I saw them kill a woman, right in front of me, without giving her any warning just because she carried the dagger."

"I've killed Dark Mages with this. Don't worry."

Remy comes down into the room, sporting huge...parachute pants.

Soleo grabbed his spear and ripped off the pants.

OOC: Do you ever feel sad, knowing that everything that you do will eventually be worthless and not important?

OOC: First, that hurt. Second, of course I've got that feeling. But with me, I get pissed because I feel like I'm only treading water, not definitely going backwards or forwards. It is the ultimate feeling of uselessness.

"Well, we're here at Rosanu, or whatever it is. So, let's go see your sister."

OOC: I just put so much effort onto making every single bit of Illuyad. I know that it will all mean nothing eventually, and that just makes me sad.

"Norasu. I'll be back."

Soleo jumped off the boat, and began the search.

OOC: Well, if you're going to use that general logic, everything you do up until you die is pretty much useless. Because, even if someone other than you benefits from it, they will eventually die as well. Just live for now, and don't think about the future so much. You'll drive yourself crazy.

Soleo walked through the grass, searching for anyone he might talk to. He soon saw an old farmer. Maybe he might know something about Soleo's sister.

"Hello, sir. Have you met a girl named Evorane Raes?"

OOC: How do you mark out text? I forgot.

"Ahh, Ms. Raes. Yes, she runs the apothecary. You'll find it about 50 yards south, right on the outskirts of Norasu."

[Aura]

"An apothecary? Not the job I would expect her to have..."

Soleo ran for the apothecary.

Soleo stopped at a shop with several plants and bottles in the window. A sign hung above the door that said, "Come Dig My Herb."

How very crude. Soleo steps inside.

[Aura]

"Hey, who is in charge here? This sounds like a garden, if we are diging herbs."

A young woman with large glasses hops out from behind the counter.

"I am. May I ask who is...asking?"

[Aura]

"Hello there, Ms. Owner. I'm just confused at the title of your shop. Is this an apothecary, or a garden store...or is it a house of earthly delights?"

"Ahh, that. Well, it's actually a Bob Dylan reference, from his song 'All Along the Watchtower', famously redone by Jimi Hendrix. It was supposed to hint at the fact that we use herbs in our potions.

OOC: I like talking on the internet. You can see what a person is like without having their physical form alter your thoughts.

"...who?"

Soleo looks around the shop.

"Do you have anything that reduces pain?"

"An American folk singer, inspired heavily by the great Woody Guthrie, the king of American Folk. But, I wouldn't think single-dimensional people would get the reference."

"And we have a potion of lesser protection on sale."

[Aura]

"Hmm. I see."

"Do you have somebody named Evorane working here?"

"Yes, I'll go get her."

The woman disappeared behind a bunch of bottles and books, and went down a flight of stairs. Minutes later, Evorane came up, her hair a complete mess.

"Evorane...it's me...Soleo. Do you remember me?"Andi just sent me pics. Wanna see?

"I hope you do."

Evorane looked down upon Soleo, who had seemed to age ten years with the events that happened in the last week.

"My god, what's happened to you? You look so...gaunt."

[Aura]

OOC: He aged?

"Nothing. I just left Revald...on a mission. It seems that I possess one of the Dragonic Arms..."

OOC: LOOKS liked he aged. It's because of everything that has happened in the past couple of days.

"Dragonic arms...hmm, where have I heard that before? They sound very familiar."

[Aura]

"The world famous weapons...they rival the Sacred Arms..."

OOC: AGAIN, the Dragonic Arms aren't that famous, they're just very powerful. Only the weilders, the Order, and the Dark Mages know of them. Soleo didn't know sh*t about them until the Mages told him.

"Oh, I remember. One of the men in the village is hunting for them."

OOC: Oh.

"Oh, is he? What do you know about him?"

"He's a trophy hunter. He just brags about what he has killed, and all the stuff he has. Keep away from Gerald, if you can."

"Actually, I think that I would like to meet this Gerald."

OOC: ...Coulda sworn I posted here, already.

"Soleo, please don't. First off, he's a weirdo, and kind of an ass. Second, if he finds out you have a Dragonic Arm, he'll hunt you to no end. You'll be his second."

"If he is that much of a problem, couldn't I just kill him and take his Dragonic Arm?"

OOC: I have no idea what is going on in that thread. I only read the first page. I really don't have any reference.

"I'm just warning you, there's a reason he was able to steal that Arm."

OOC: This person who made this site I visit deleted it, then was going to sue this guy who kept the forum from ten days ago live. They got into a huge argument. Not fun. I was scrambling to document Skylessia profiles for other in case it got purged.

"His bow he took from an old warrior, a very accomplished archer. While the man was out on a hunt, Gerald stalked him and killed the old man, taking his bow and a rib bone as his trophies. He's a ruthless killer, Soleo."

"Then he must be stopped. I cannot let a man like that wander. Trust me, Evo. I can do this. Especially if the almighty Ryan gives me the power."

OOC: Almighty, huh? Well, you're getting 2 level ups for this fight.

"I guess I can't stop you. You always were hard-headed. But, please, come back safe. I don't know anyone here that well, and you're the only person I've talked to from Revald. Leo, take care."

"I suddenly feel more powerful. Evo, trust me. I even have a friend who has always stayed by my side."

Soleo dashed back to the boat.

"Remy, I'm going to go kill a psycho murderer. Wanna come?"

OOC: I'm going to. Just wait. I'm in the process, actually.

"Sure. What's his name, Gerald or something stupid like that?"

OOC: I just asked my mother why the hell there was a sexual massage video on the T.V. She got so defensive. Sometimes, she is so damn stupid.

"It is, actually."

OOC2: Gerald from Radiata Stories is awesome.

OOC: I did not like Radiata Stories very much. The combat system was a bit simplistic, and the story tried too hard to be funny.

"...Wow. That's weird. Okay, let's go kick his ass!"

Soleo led Remy to the Apothecary, where they would get directions form his sister.

OOC: When you get to the non-human side, it all becomes awesome. Having the entire story revolving around Ridley + Ridley not dying like she does in the human side=awesome.

"Hey, Evo, where is Gerald?"

Soleo's sister looked up, a slightly annoyed expression on her face.

"...You're still going to do this, huh? Fine. He's the house on the east part of the plaza, the one with a pond."

OOC: My mom is yelling at me to get off. BEFORE 9:30!!! Stupid summertime bedtime. :hmm:

"A pond, eh? Sounds too good for a freak."

Soleo left the building, walked to said house, pulled out his axe, and knocked on the door.

OOC: You're kidding, right? I stay up until 1:30 on average.

"Who is it? I'm not really in the mood for visitors right now."

[Aura]

OOC: I'm very serious.

"Would you like to switch your insurance to Warlock Insurance?"

OOC: I stayed up until 3 last night, because I was carrying the time for both of us.

"No! Now, go away, before I kill you."

"If you were to get injured in battle, you'd need insurance to help cover the medical costs, right?"

Soleo turned to Remy.

"Get an arrow ready."

A hatchet rocketed through the door, nearly catching Soleo in the shoulder.

"Now, I told you to go away! Next time I won't miss, you lousy bottom-feeders!"

[Aura]

"We're not bottom feeders! We're BOUNTY HUNTERS!"

Soleo held his harpoon above his waist, hoping that it would give him the power to defeat this mad man.

OOC: Props if you get the reference.

OOC: Custom Robo, the thing Harry always yells.

Gerald busted out of the hut, breaking down the door and knocking Remy backwards. Soleo tried to stab forward, but the man dodged the attacks easily and countered with a strong punch that knocked Soleo backwards.

"Bounty Hunters, eh? You guys are the lowest of the low, hunting for money and not just for the thrill and the need. I'll kill you for that."

The man drew a very large Axe, about four feet high, with the sharpest blade Soleo had seen before.

[Aura]

"Sir, you see...dude, just face it. You have anger issues. You take out your anger on other people, yet I think you just need somebody to love you. Well, I also think you need to die. Flare Guard!"

Soleo held his own axe in a defensive way. Having a blade of water meant no dulling.

As the two fought, Soleo noticed that his own axe seemed to grow heavier and heavier. Soon it was too heavy to weild, and Gerald knocked him back down next to Remy, who was obviously unconcious. It was then that Soleo noticed the odd color of the axe. It had turned a dark blue, when it had been dark metal before. Gerald noticed his perplextion.

"Lead. The best type of metal for fighting magic, because it is one of only two metals that reacts to magic, the other being silver. Ever wonder why Alchemists choose this to turn into gold? It's the only type that can. And now, I have absorbed a good chunk of the magic from your pitiful axe."

[Aura]

Soleo grabbed his harpoon and attempted to draw its power. He really needed it. To hold off Gerald while he tried to draw power, he cast Petal Wind.

[Addicted to Oi!]

The harpoon wouldn't shoot anything, and Gerald had absorbed the Petal Wind, making it dissipate faster than normal.

"Ooh, a Dragonic Arm. I need to build my collection anyway..."

What had Soleo done differently at the tournament?

OOC: He did do it differently, just post him calling to the heavens or something. *MEGAULTRAHINT*

"Dragonic Spirits of Old, Grant Me Thy Undying Power!"

"Protect me, o great Dragons!" yelled Gerald.

The bow he had acquired from the old warrior erupted with power from its spot on the hunter's wall. A very strong, clear aura surrounded Gerald as Soleo unleashed the power of the harpoon.

The outbursts lasted for all of 30 seconds, but when it had stopped, both warriors were panting.

"You see, young fool, I know the power of the Arms. You can't use that to save you, and I'll kill you right now."

The hunter raised his axe above his head.

"You really shouldn't have done this, Raes. Prepare to..."

He never finished his sentence. An flaming arrow caught him in the jugular, burning open the wound and making the blood pour out in gallons.

"That guy REALLY hurt me with that tackle," Remy said from the side.

[Aura]

"Remy...first, thank you for that. Second...how did he know my name? Third, I'm taking his bow."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"No, I'll take it."

Remy walked in the hunter's house, picking up the bow.

"I actually use a bow, Sol. Plus, if it wasn't for me, you'd be dead."

Remy grinned.

"Plus, you look exactly like your sister. He probably knows...or knew her."

[Aura]

"Remy...do you hate me? Be honest. How do you feel about me?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Soleo, how could you ask that? I've come with you the entire way, I've helped you, and I was the only one to believe your story in the village. I just helped you kill a madman, and now we have another Dragonic Arm. Of course I don't hate you. Other than Romuley, you were my only friend from Revald."

"I wouldn't do this for someone I hate. Don't doubt yourself so much, Sol. People like you more than you think."

"Thank you...let's go see Evo and tell her about what we did."

OOC: And add Dragonic Bow (Lv. 10, Bow forged with untold power by the Order of Dukas) to Remy's profile.

The pair walked to the Apothecary. Evorane greeted them both with warm hugs. They then set off on telling their tale. After Soleo finished, Evo was silent.

"...So if Mr. Nightlong here hadn't saved you, I would have lost my brother. Dammit, Sol, don't do that! You know how much I treasure you, being the only person I really know in the world anymore."

[Aura]

"What do you mean? Don't you live with mom and dad?"

OOC: Will do.

[Addicted to Oi!]

"No. I don't. They left on that weird retirement party about a year ago. They've been sailing up and down the coast of western Utherpane for the last couple of months. It's their 'We deserve it, so run the shop while we're gone' vacation."

[Aura]

"Most ships don't go out for more than a few weeks. If they've been there for a few months..."

Soleo looked out the window at the sea.

"North-Western Ulterphane has heavy pirate activity..."

"Yeah, I told them that, but they said 'well, we've always wanted to do this, so if some no good pirates decide to ruin it, I'll just have to bring the beat down on them'. They're insane, I tell you."

[Aura]

"Well, I was sent to Revald to live by myself at an early age, so I don't remember much. So, what do you do?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"I'm the head horticologist. I take care of all the plants, and I try to create new sub-species. It's actually very interesting."

[Aura]

"Oh. Would you mind showing us to your house?"

Soleo was interested to see his sister's house.

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Yeah, let's go."

Evo led them back to the boat.

"First, I wanted to see this boat you guys were telling me about. Oh, hello."

Evo caught sight of Tatrianna, sitting at the table looking very bored.

"Have you been on this ship the entire time? Soleo, what's wrong with you?"

[Aura]

"There is a table on the deck? Why did you move a table up from belowdecks? Anyway, this is Tatrianna. I saved her life, but she seems to hate me."

"I don't hate you, Soleo. I'm just angsty," Tatrianna said a bit testilly.

[Aura]

"Stop being so emo. I freaking saved your life, as well as gave you a home. Show some smiles. Life is going to get better."

Tatrianna looked up, an actual smile on her face.

"...Thanks. It's just been a very hectic last couple of months. I didn't mean to take it out on you."

"This is my sister, Evorane. She is going to show us our house. Want to come?"
