I do that too, I can always hear myself or someone else say what I'm thinking. I can also listen to music in my head, like entire songs. And I can watch movies and stuff, it's pretty wierd, no idea how it happens. One of the mysteries of the human mind I guess.

Do you actually like hear your own voice? Or another voice saying your thoughts?

whenever i think to myself, i hear my own voice. Whenever i think of what someone else said, i hear that person's voice. sometimes i will be dreaming, and i'll hear a song i know in my dream, and when i wake up it will be stuck in my head. The mind amazes me.

Yeah same things happens to me sometimes it won't be like just thinking of a thought it'll be like my own voice speaking thoughts inside my head. The mind is wierd how things pop up sometimes and old memories surface like today at work when I was closing I caught myself singing My Own Worst Enemy by Lit I haven't heard that song in years and somehow it came into my head and I remembered all the words. To think we only use what is it 10% of our brains?

I must be weird like that then too, I allways think to myself, wether its because Im just thinking about something, or if I just think to myself about something, its allmost like talking in my mind, I literally hear my own voice, as if I were actually saying it, and when I think about what someone else has said to me, it comes to mind in there voice as well, its like a "recording" almost, but at the sametime its me thinking in my head about something, I sometimes even plan things out in my head or talk aloud to myself, I seemed to "remember" things better that way, sometimes people will look at me like, "who is he talking to?"

but, I believe it is you controling your personal thoughts mentally, there are those subconcious thoughts that randomly appear, then there is thinking "aloud" to yourself in your thoughts where you basically control your thoughts.

I have entire conversations in my head. No, I'm not crazy. I take my thoughts apart and look at each thoroughly. I "debate" with myself to see why I think or do something. Keeps me from saying alot of the more idiotic things that come through my mind.

Same here.

Its kind of like "expressing opinion or thoughts enternally" I will also conversate with myself sometimes in thought as well, little as you may realize it, you somewhat think of what to say, before you actually say it, not allways, but most of the time, your concentrative on thinking about what you are talking about, which is also the same as just thinking in your head.

You can hear yourself say words you've said before, or of which you've said the syllables before. For example, you can't imagine your best friend speaking Japanese. It's just your memory playing back words you've said or heard, but mixing them to make your current thoughts.

I almost can't tell who's voice is narrating my thoughts, it might be my own because I really don't pay a alot of attention to my voice when I'm talking out loud. And I talk alot.

I think you might have some mental issues going on right about there.

I'm having a conversation in my head right now. And, as I type, I can hear myself saying the words. It really is pretty weird.

That's how I allways am, I can easily drift off in to thought about certain things, to the point where I will literally talk to myself mentally. I even sometimes will answer myself, its pretty funny when others like my friends or family say "who are you talking to?" when they here me. :)

I usually end up talking to myself when I'm on a game. Like, in my head I'll think something like "Go over there, you need to go that way" Then I'll just say out loud. "Yes! I know which way I'm going!" then I'll be like..Why the hell am I arguing with myself??

I do that sometimes too, end up arguing with yourself mentally to the point where you start expressing it, its really funny when you watch others do it, my cousin does that all the time.

I don't actually hear myself thinking. When I read, for example, I'm repeating everything that I read in my head, but it's not audible. Thinking doesn't prevent me from hearing other external sounds.

You want it to move or increase the movement speed, and you're getting frustrated over the lack of reaction from the excessive clicking; with no visible result.

No, I argue with the character when he/she doesn't do what I want. Like whne I want him to pull out a heavy duty 50 Cal sniper rifle, and instead they pull out a 9mm pistol. Then it's game out and blitzing at the TV screen. What I said before is, my mind telling me where to go, and then me basically telling myself to shut up.

I hear someone's voice once, then I can make them say anything in my head.

Alteernative personalities will talk to themselves, most likely, like in the cartoons they have an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other.

Same.

I even quizzed myself, since some people say that you can't really "hear" a certain word or phrase in a certain voice unless it has been said before, I actually tried to proof that wrong, I started thinking of vords that I usually never say, I even pulled out the dictionary and tried to think the word in my own voice, its nearly impossible, but after I said the word, it was easy to think.

That would be your conscince. Like, when you're being pressured into doing something, One part of you says yes, the other says no.

I also tend to think about something that way as well, where my conscince is basically telling why yes or why no on certain things I have the ablity to choose with.

Unless my university has misled me completely, I'm pretty sure a lot of you are describing intrapersonal communication (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intrapersonal_communication)...

It's like when I wake up in the morning. One part of my brain starts listing all the excuses not to go for a run, while the other part starts listing all the reasons to go for a run.

The part that reaches the highest tally wins.
