Soleo saw the Wraith again. This time, it did appear to Remy.

Ahh, good. You decided to come. Now, you will find one of my fellow Order members camped out in Raijin. But be careful. It is a city of thievery, murder, and deception. Always stick together, and ALWAYS carry your weapon. If you travel to the Cursed Light Inn, you will find him in the uppermost tennant. Now, I bid you farewell.

Soleo was confused. Did the wraith actually WANT him to join the Order? He turned to Remy.

"What do you think?"

"I don't know. I think the Order is gone, but maybe we should learn about it more. I can't exactly trust what the mages said, so they may not be evil, or AS evil."

Soleo turned his crab, and the two dashed back.

OOC: SUCH CRAP!

OOC: I had a big storyline arc coming up...oh well, you get something since you went back to the tournament.

As they neared the tourney, the mod ran up.

"Well, you two certainly took your sweet time coming back. Now, it's your match. C'mon, quickly."

[Aura]

"Remy, may the best man win."

Soleo held his spear, ready to fight.

"I won't lose."

Remy stared at Soleo, a confused look on his face.

"What? First we turn back after wanting to go, and now you want to fight me? What's gotten into you?"

[Aura]

"Remy, I'll explain later. Just trust me."

Soleo turned to the announcer.

"What is the prize, if I may ask?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"A commemerative silver sword, and a very lucrative contract offer to do tasks for the Dark Mages. It pays beyond your dreams."

[Aura]

Soleo quickly darted a look at Remy, then smiled.

"Would you mind if I could see that sword?"

"I'm sorry, sir, it's held in a vault until there is a declared winner."

[Aura]

OOC: You messed up my plan.

Soleo walked over to Remy, and whispered into his ear.

"I can lightly tap you, and you can play dead. Just go along wth it."

OOC2: Go onto Wi-Fi, if you can.

OOC: Haha. And I can't...because, I'm getting on WoW.

Soleo and Remy sparred for a bit, throwing and blocking very quickly and accurately. It even seemed like a real fight to Soleo for a time, but he quickly snapped back to reality. Remy slashed with his Energy Dagger and was knocked slightly off-balance. That was Soleo's chance.

OOC: You play WoW? Nerd.

Soleo lightly stabbed Remy's stomach, then leaped back. It was now Remy's turn.

OOC: You play Pokemon ONLINE!?! Weirdo.

Remy drew his bow and summoned an Air arrow. He shot it right at Soleo's stomach. It hurt, but the arrow shattered in air, leaving only the harsh wind to strike Soleo. But the crowd didn't know that.

OOC: I don't have NetBattle. Do you mean Wi-Fi?

Soleo fell to the ground, pretending to have been knocked out.

"Winner, Mr. Remy! Now, if you will just follow me..."

Remy dissapeared into a building near the stage.

Soleo yelled "Flash!" and started hurling balls of light. During the chaos, he walked over to the building and started to listen.

"Now, Mr. Nightlong, you have one this, the Silver Sword. And, I have someone here to talk to you."

Soleo could not see who it was, but he definitely had a clue.

"Mr. Nightlong, we meet at last. Someone as strong as you can definitely help us in our quest to revive ultimate power. We are the Dark Mages, an elite group dedicated to the recovery and control of the ancient Dragonic Weapons of the Order of Dukas. Will you join us, and in return receive ultimate power and knowledge?"

[Aura]

Soleo used his water axe to cloak himself with water, threw more orbs of light, then listened for a bit longer.

"I need more information before I'm going to make a choice, sir. I have a lot of business that I can accept, some very lucrative contracts have been sent my way."

"Right, right, of course. We are seeking out the Dragonic weapons, forged by the Smith of the Order. We have reason to believe one is close, and that this person has made contact with the Smith. If he meets the smith, our job will be quite a bit more difficult. If you accept his bounty, we will pay you 1,000,000,000 gold."

[Aura]

Soleo gasped. He had heard all that he needed to. Meeting the smith would hinder the Order. Soleo quickly leaped onto his crab and directed it towards Raijin.

OOC: Leaving Remy to the Mages? Some friend.

Soleo was stopped at the gate to the city by a couple of angels, the same ones that he had talked to before.

"I must advise you, sir, not to enter Raijin. It is a very dangerous city, and unless you have express written consent from a town guard or a higher authority, I'm afraid I must refuse your entry," said the left one with a sneer.

"It's okay, angel, he's with me."

Soleo looked back to see Remy walking up, fully clad in Dark Mage Armor, a jet black leather and metal combo with a cloak of the same color. He held out his hand and showed a medallion.

"Consent from the Empire...I see. You're both free to pass."

They passed through, and made their way across the clearing, the final stretch until Raijin. Remy seemed much more confident and cool-headed.

[Aura]

"Remy, you do know that if you try to kill me for 1,000,000 gold coins, I will have no choice but to attack you, as well."

"Like I would try. First off, you're my friend. Second off, this armor only gives me a set amount of extra power. That harpoon has untold strength, and you unlocked its power during the fight. I don't want to face that. You should trust me more, Soleo."

[Aura]

"I'm sorry. But you wearing a robe and having an emblem of an empire...what empire, exactly?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"They didn't say. All they said was I was to follow you and kill you at any chance I could get, and that this medallion would get me through any blockade I come across. Soleo, this goes deeper than a power hungry group."

[Aura]

"What else did they tell you?"

Soleo had no idea where Raijin was.

OOC: Like you said, Soleo's village at the south border of the small island. It then splits off into Traen (the tourney village) and Raijin (the dark and shady port).

"They told me that they only had 1 weapon, and that the old weilder was my next target after you. They didn't tell me what weapon it was, or who had it, but I'm guessing it was that dagger they had."

[Aura]

OOC: Oh, sh!t. I thought the tourney was in the middle of a grassy field next to the road.

"So, what do we do now?"

"We find the man the wraith was talking about. If we want to know more about these mages, and your harpoon, we should definitely look into this Order."

Soleo climbed onto his crab and started to walk to Raijin.

"So, where is Raijin?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Only about a mile down the road. It's right next to the sea, the biggest port in the western Seas."

[Aura]

Soleo grumbled. An ENTIRE mile? This wasn't going to be a short trip.

He continued to travel.

[Addicted to Oi!]

Soleo heard the grumble.

"We ran for 5 miles when we left the village, and that was on foot. You're on a crab and walking. Hardly seems like somthing worth complaining about."

OOC: Why does Andi have to be like that just because I did something that didn't even affect anyone else?

OOC: What do you mean?

"Well, I'm trying to act like this ass named Shane. You don't know him."

OOC: I said "Now Playing-Blah De Blah by Blah", Kevin got annoyed, and yelled at me to stop (Like I was going to for Kevin). Andi threatened to ban me, and I started to tell her how immature that would be, and how she was being controlling and annoying. It got to the point where she posted up that FoG 2 thing (whatever the hell FoG means, I don't know), and that's when me and Caboose started to argue.

A voice, a glorious, deep voice, called down from the heavens.

"Well, Valreki/Soleo/Luke/Snuffaluffagus, I know him. I can make it happen, in a very well written segue, so that Shane can travel with you also. I'd even make him a Paladin-like warrior."

[Aura]

Soleo threw his harpoon into the air and yelled one word.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Geeze, all right, I won't. God, just because I'm all powerful doesn't mean you have to yell."

With this, the spirit went away to go torture his updater.

"So, what should we do until we get to Raijin?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Well, I wanted to ask you. What do you think is up with this Order?"

[Aura]

"I'm thinking either a world takeover, or a resurrection."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"I didn't get that vibe from them. From the Mages, yes, but from the Order...they just didn't seem like the world was was their biggest plan."

[Aura]

"What? I thought the Mages were from the Order..."

OOC: I did.

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Ahh, I can understand where you would get that idea, but no. The Mages are just trying to harness the power of the weapons for their own uses. They actually seemed to hold a bit of contempt for the Order, from the context of the conversation I had with the mage."

"I can't say I don't like this armor. Quite the perk."

[Aura]

"So, what is the Order?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Apparently, from texts gathered by the Mages, the Order was an ancient Paladinic group of warriors and powerful magic users. They were the first holy order to enlist demons into their rank, the idea of untold knowledge and power a harrowing passion for both. They were very prosperous, and drew the ire of the corrupt kings of the Age of Kingdoms. They were destroyed by an army with 100-fold their numbers. They never stood a chance."

"A few people survived, including, apparently, the Smith that made the weapons. The mages don't know this, though. They think the wraith was his ghost, so they aren't seeking him out. I hope that's in our favor."

"I should tell you, though, I'm not the only one under their employ. They went all throughout Utherpane and Alzorane setting up these little tournaments. Ours was very small compared to a 1,000 man one they had in Alzorane. There will be much stronger warriors in our way."

[Aura]

"Oh. The Order sounds like the good guys, then. Let's hurry!"

Soleo tapped his crab, hoping to make it move faster.

Soleo forgot that it was a CRAB, and therefor actually hindered his movement.

"What's helpful?" Shane asked Valreki.

Valreki turned his attention to Shane, who was on a nearby cloud.

"Soleo thinks that the crab makes moving easier."

"Soleo's as idiotic as Carnane, I swear," said Dioli with a good amount of contempt in his voice.

"He's not the smartest one, no..." Annie admitted.

[Aura]

A flying harpoon smashed open Dioli's skull.

"I'm much smarter than him! Shut up!"

[Addicted to Oi!]

Dioli pulled the harpoon out of his head, which instantly regenerated.

"I don't know. It sure would be a hard task, but you seem to fit the bill correctly."

[Aura]

Valreki turned to Dioli.

"You might not know this, but I would like to continue the storyline."

"I know, I was just taking the manditory break to keep this from being so completely cliche'. RPGs without forced humor just aren't RPGs."

Soleo and Remy reached Raijin finally.

[Aura]

Soleo looked at the city.

"Hey, Remy, the sun is in my eyes. Can you tell me what the city looks like?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"It's...it's...a sh*t hole."

The clouds drew together, and Soleo could see, it was a ramshackle crapfest. A bunch of badly strewn together buildings interspersed with giant garbage deposites. There were fights at nearly every corner, and a black haze fell over the city.

[Aura]

"That haze...too many people are smoking pot. Let's go to that hotel that the smith mentioned."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"I don't think that's canabus smoke, Soleo. If it was, people wouldn't be fighting. Marijuana is a supression drug, not a narcotic. Hallucenegins rarely ever cause anger and hostility. But nevermind, there's the Cursed Light."

Soleo was pointing at a jet black, rickety building, only about 2 floors high.

[Aura]

OOC: Canabis, not canabus.

"Well, we should walk over. But first, Flare Guard!"

Soleo turned to Remy.

"It's a short distance, but you can never be too careful, eh?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

Valreki only saw a hazy outline of Remy.

"Yeah, I know. Never too careful."

OOC: Canayellowbus.

[Aura]

Soleo turned to hazy Remy. "Remy, why are you hazy? My orbs did not attack you. I control the orbs."

OOC: I keep calling Soleo Valreki. I've got to stop.

"I told you, this armor has a bit of its own power. It gives me better control over my magic, plus it lets me have a minor camoflage. Nifty, huh?"

They walked to the inn, careful not to touch anyone. As they walked in the door, Soleo noticed that it was a bit cleaner than the others. This must be the best hotel in the place.

OOC2: Congrats on 8k.

OOC: That might be why I was getting so confused.

"Let's head to the top."

Soleo walked up the stairs, not using the hand rails.

Soleo came to a door, listening through the cracks to see if anyone was in.

"Look, I know you're there, and I know why you've come, you don't have to sneak."

[Aura]

Soleo walked in, bowed in the direction he thought he heard the voice, and said "I have come to assist you in any way possible. I feel that the Order is a cause that I will fight to the death for."

Soleo looked up to see the form of a demon, clothed in white linen robes, holding a tome in his hand.

"You know, fighting for a Cause you know nothing about is very foolish. But, I shall not dwell on this. You've come, I suppose, because of Verilas."

[Aura]

"I just wish to kill the Mages. Any enemy of my enemy is my friend. A smith sent me here. I do not know why, but I am here, at his request."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Ahh, you were sent by Verilas, good. Well, your policies are not the greatest, but you will learn. I am here to teach you all that I can about the Order."

[Aura]

"Very well. I am ready to learn."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"We started as a group of priests and Paladins, aiding the kingdoms in their Crusades and we became the protectors of all of Utherpane. But when we the state Alzorane was in after our Crusades, we knew we had done something completely horrible. By the way, "we" being the Order, not myself, as I joined later."

"Anyway, the Order soon started recruiting demons to help rebuild and protect Alzorane. This plan worked out, and soon the Order pulled together both of the factions of Illuyad, and there were fewer and fewer wars. The two continents formed a Planetary Council, and all was good. But soon, the kingdoms realized our power, and sought to silence the order once and for all."

"The fools were power hungry, and sent an army of millions to our base. We stood up and defended against most of them, but in the end there were too many. The survivors of our group fled to the outreaches of Illuyad, and the rest died. If I were to estimate the number left, I would put it at maybe 50."

"The kingdoms, after the Great Purge, we sent back into strife, and Alzorane fell to chaos. The peace has not, and most likely will not, come back, and I have given up hope for my people, the demons."

[Aura]

OOC: Illuyad has no governments.

"I'm sorry to hear that. What do you do, in your position?"

OOC: No governments, perhaps, but if you had all of these associations, groups, and organizations, there would have to be kingdoms. It's simple power distribution. Plus, the council wouldn't be a governmental group, more of a gathering of racial liasons and peacekeepers, to further the peace.

"I was the High Priest, I looked over the new recruits and brought our message to my demonic bretheren across Alzorane. Myself and Archbishop Crale were the main ambassadors to Illuyad, and we did a fine job. I doubt you would see the kind of violence in Alzorane today if we hadn't been 'liquidated' by those filthy traitors."

"But, since I cannot do anything about this, at least for now, I must send you on your way to Verilas, so that you might learn how to rebuild our once-great Order, or destroy the wicked that infest the world, whichever way ends the violence. Go, now, onto the ship, Farthest Reach. Once you make it to Soljin, the other port on mainland Utherpane, seek out Burt, my former apprentice. He'll be working in a local flower shop."

[Aura]

Soleo could not help but start to laugh.

"A member of the Order, an apprentice of you, working in a flower shop?"

The demon looked at Soleo as if he had just slapped him.

"We have been forced into hiding, for fear of our lives, and the people who deemed us bounty worthy. We've had to take up menial tasks and personas just to stay out of everyone's way. Now, make your way there, so you might learn more."

[Aura]

Soleo nodded, then walked downstairs. He felt like doing a rather odd thing. He walked into a bar, and ordered Remy a few drinks. He smiled. This was going to be fun.

"Why so jolly all of a sudden, Soleo? Oh, and here."

Remy passed Soleo a small glass of an amber liquid. The glass was surprisingly clean for the establishment it was served in.

[Aura]

"You are going to see, Remy. And you get to help me, kay?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Good. But, we deserve this, so let's finish our drinks before we go."

Remy raised his glass to Soleo, and drained it in one drink.

[Aura]

"You might not want to drink that. I need you."

Soleo turned all of his attention to the bar crowd.

"I will award a prize to whoever can defeat me in battle. I'll be waiting outside. Five minutes."

Soleo walked outside, put on the robe he found at the tournament, and got his harpoon ready.

Remy ran after him.

"What the HELL are you doing, Soleo?"

[Aura]

"You'll see. Just get some arrows ready."

OOC: I have a huge plan for this.

[Addicted to Oi!]

OOC: Well, you're leading me down sh*t creek right now, so you better have one hell of a plot twist.

Remy knocked a couple of arrows, shooting flames down all of them.

"Tell me when to shoot. But, we'd better not kill anyone. You were the one to challenge them all."

OOC: I'm sorry if I'm that much trouble to update. Why don't you just ask Danny to do it, because it seems that because I'm making this a free RP, like I wanted Illuyad to be, it is too hard for you. And yes, this post is probably going to make you very angry at me.

"Just shoot the ones that come near me. I know what I want to do."

Soleo held his spear and bent his knees, ready.

OOC: You think I'm angry with this? Hell no. I'm just curious as to what you're going to do. Don't be so sensitve, man.

"Well, then I have a better idea."

Icy shards shot down all of his arrows, replacing the flames that were once there. As the fighters rushed out of the bar, all looking menacing, Remy took up his bow.

"Come any closer, and you die. So, you want to test me?"

[Aura]

OOC: Oh, I thought you were. Sorry.

Soleo looked at the thugs running for him. He thought that he would have a little fun with this.

"Flare Guard! Remy, to the harbor!"

Soleo dashed to the harbor, the mob after him. As they reached the port, Soleo ran to the back of the building, and yelled "Torrent," hoping that a wave would wash them away.

The wave knocked back most of them, but a few made it to the waterfront where Soleo was near. A few spears were thrown, and one nearly hit Soleo, had Remy not pulled him out of the way.

"Torrent!"

For the ones that had already been washed into the sea, he wanted to send them far away.

He then turned his attention to the nearby fighters. He held his harpoon to his face, and hoped that he could summon its power once again.

Remy grabbed Soleo's arm.

"What's your problem? They never did anything to you!"

The power would not come to Soleo, it seemed.

[Aura]

"I'm trying to clear out this town of crime. I want to."

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Did you ever see them do anything? Did you see them hurt anyone, steal anything? You don't have the right to judge like that!"

[Aura]

"Remy...just stop. Anybody stupid enough to get into a fight is probably a criminal. This entire town is a place of crime. I want to stop that. Don't you remember when the raiders from here came and attacked Revald? Do you remember how almost half of the village died because of them? And you aren't going to take revenge on it!?"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"No, and I won't let you either. Persecuting and executing the many for the deeds of the few is not something that should ever be practiced."

Remy raised his bow at Soleo, dark flames coming out of the arrow.

"You really don't seem like yourself, Soleo. You would never do this before..."

[Aura]

"What? I am going to kill them all! You will never stop me!"

[Addicted to Oi!]

"Then die!"

The arrow shot through Soleo's shoulder, emitting a searing pain. What's more, Soleo was completely immobilized.

"I'm sorry, Soleo, but this is for your own good," said Remy as he smashed the oaken bow over Soleo's head, knocking him cold.

When Soleo came to, he was back in the demon's room. Remy was at the bedside.
