I like the emo style not the attitude. Life is rough it is for everyone at certain points noones struggle is completely unique especially emo kids' struggles because they're usually "I have a crush on a girl but she took a meat hammer to my heart." big deal that happens everyday to people. I don't think people cut themselves to die either I think it's because of the endorphan release it gives you or a cry for help or attention. If you really wanted to kill yourself there's more certain ways to do it than that like a good old fashioned gun in the mouth.

You don't have to know what endorphens are or how they work to know they make it feel good when you cut yourself. The first time I cut myself I had no idea that it made endorphens release I just knew people who did it and all of them said you'll never understand until you do it so one time I did it on the top of my arm because obviously i wasn't trying to kill myself lol after a couple it felt good and I then i completely understood why people would do that to themselves when they're in pain. I run like hell all the time though so i have no need to do that :angel:

Of course it hurts when you cut yourself but after a little bit the endorphens start to take away the pain. Yes, also the pain it causes can dull out other pain which is why people that do this don't just eat chocolate or exercise a lot but in the end exercising will do the same thing as cutting and I guess if you ate a lot of chocolate it would too but then you'd be fat :tease:

This thread stinks of pre-judgments and bias.

I can sympathize for those who are "emo" unless you all find a better word thats what your called. From what I can figure apparently highschool (or is it junior high?) is all about image. If you wanna wear something thats "hardcore" then have fun with it. If you weren't so subconsious about it you wouldent have made a big deal about it. But hell that could be a "mood swing" or something. I find it petty stupid to consider one who wears black and has long hair "emo" and how the excellent words of verse are shamed.

Im pretty sure its just one giant fad anyway. Curious people will do just about anything if it "feels good", hell nowadays people feel things not because they actually feel something, but because they know their "supposed" to feel something. About as much sense as dating drama before high school.

My advice kid, find what you like. And stick with it enough to not be bugged by criticizm.
