strange sounds...?

So last night, I was half-asleep when I heard this random popping noise, and it came to me that this happens to me a lot where I hear random "explosion" sound effects........

Am I the only one with this problem? What is it?

Can you elabore a little further on the issue at hand? Where do the sounds come from, outside, inside, upstairs, downstairs, within you? And where do you normally hear those noises?

Perhaps your ears are popping for some reason?

I bet since you are "Half Awake" that your ears aren't fully open, does it sound like your ears are "pugged" at times? maybe just a popped ear sound effect echoing though your head with you ears have opened, it happens to me at times when I yawn.

Oh, hmm its hard to explain. Like when I'm in bed, sometimes I just snap back into reality or something......I don't think it's my ears popping. You know how sometimes your tv just makes a random cracking noise for whatever reason? It kinda sounds like that...But I don't think its my tv.

You may want to try cleaning out your ears, that might help, It very well could be that your ears are plugged up a little, so try cleaning them out and see if that helps.

I hear stuff like that all the time. But it comes from the stairs in our house. My room is right across fromt them, so they crack and pop at night when they're "settling in" or whatever.
