Background: Carnane was born in a pirate's haven. He was taught the ways of sailing and navigating, and how to spot ships belonging to wealthy organizations. Carnane found this wrong, however, after he saw his crew attack helpless people, citizens that had done nothing wrong, but still found their bitter death at the end of a Cutlass. Carnane vowed to fight evil from that day forward. He handed in his resignation to the Pirate's Guild, and set off to mainland, hoping to find his skill more useful. The sea was still close to him, and would always be. When he reached Trolog, a large Dwarf city, he quested to find anyway he could help. It seemed his efforts were in vain until one night. Out of the south sky, a dark cloud wretched and writhed. The citizens never had a chance. The figure set upon them with an evil laugh, and he slaughtered anyone he set his eyes upon. Carnane tried to fight him with all of his might, but it was in vain. This man was too mighty, and Carnane felt doomed. Until the man said, "Huh, a person actually was brave enough to fight me. I'll let you live, but remember my name, a name you all shall fear through this land for eternity. My name is Drakona, and I shall rule you all forever!" With that, he flew away, apparentely on the wings of the wind. Carnane vowed that day to avenge all that had lost their lives today, for he thought it his duty, and his fault. He has traversed this land of Utherphane for every day since, honing his skills and protecting anyone he could, hoping to become strong enough to face Drakona one more time, and right what had been wronged in that Dwarven City.

I pick the battle arena to be on the rim of a volcano in Alrozane.

OOC: Okay then. Prepare for the battle of the century!...in some circles.

Carnane marched on through the desolate plains of Alrozane, his angel robe draped accross his face to keep the heat and dust out of his eyes. He wondered what battle could be important enough to travel through the heat and rogue demon camps to get to. As Carnane neared the volcano, he saw the trek that was ahead. It was arduous, it was high, and it was definitely not for the ordinary mountainman. But Carnane had a secret weapon.

Raahk, I will need your services for this, Carnane called out to his Sacred Dragon.

A moment later, Carnane heard the grand flight of his trusted companion. The dragon stood 7 men tall, and was a fantastic sight. Carnane wasted no time in mounting him, and soon they were off towards the lip of the mountain. Carnane jumped off, but told Raahk to stay, as he would doubtlessly need his help in the future. He soon spotted his opponent, and he was taken aback. Not a demon, definitely, nor did he look menancing in the slightest. It was odd that he would summon Carnane to the scarred lands of Alrozane.

"You there! What is your reason for this summons?" Carnane called out to the warrior.

Felix was trudging up to the volcano's peak. He had been traveling for the past three hours but his Elven traits allowed him to persevere. He approached the top and waited. Ten minutes later a man came up, mounted on a dragon. The man disembarked then called out, "You there! What is your reason for this summons?" Felix was taken back. He was told his opponent had summoned him. "Nice try whomever you are, but I think we both know that you are the one wishing to fight me." Felix drew his Magic Sword's hilt and looked around for an energy source to provide a blade. On the rim of the volcano he had to settle for his own life force. He raised his head to his opponent, "So let's get to battle like you wanted, shall we?"

Carnane smirked. The elf seemed over-confident, and he didn't know anything about Carnane's knowledge of combat. Carnane pulled out his Falchions, and ran at the elf. He slashed and dodged, keeping up a good pace. He pushed the fight towards the crater of the volcano. The heat was amazing, but he didn't care. As they neared the lip, Carnane forced his Falchions down with all of his force, trying to knock the warrior off-balance.

"Dancing Flames!!!" yelled Carnane, as he urged the gargantuan power of the volcano forward with horrible intensity. The magma amplified the spell, summoning a huge plume of searing fire. Carnane jumped back from the crater, staying well out of the way of his spell.

[The Razgriz]

As the plume of fire came down on him Felix countered with his own spell, “Unleash the Elements!” he shouted and brought his right arm upward. He directed the flames back at Carnane who tried to direct it back towards Felix. The flame dispersed with both forces trying to control it. Felix rushed at Carnane and split his hilt and blade in two, making use of Halves of Death. The new blade was taking its toll on Felix so he had to switch life forces. Now that Carnane was weakened Felix started to drain the life force from Carnane himself. Carnane flinched when his own life force was being sapped and Felix took advantage of the opportunity and sliced with his twin blades on both sides. Carnane tried to jump back but still got nicked on his left side.

"Ugh. You little..."

Carnane focused himself, and was able to shut off his life force from Felix. Still, the elf had taken a good bit of his health, and he was desperate. He summoned all of his strength into his core, and dove straight back at Felix.

"Piercing Light!"

Light materialized out of midair, soaring towards the Elf like the deadly little bullets they were. Felix dodged them, but it left him open to Carnane's ultimate attack.

"I have fought long and hard, and I shall not die here, my time has not come yet. Swordmaster's Grace!!!"

He flew at Felix with fire in his eyes and rage in his heart. He slashed into Felix, leaving a searing mark in his opponent's flesh. As Carnane got up, he reached towards the volcano's energy for replenishment. The attack had taken a lot out of him.

[The Razgriz]

Felix was injured by the attack and staggered back. Then he realized that form was of the Arcane Arts. This man was of holy nature. "Hold up! You are not my enemy. Something greater is at play here." Felix hoped Carnane would believe him. He was after all telling the truth. "I can tell you are lying, Elf. You lied before we fought too, about how you didn't summon me."

Felix pushed away all thoughts of trying to reason; he knew it was fruitless. He was losing blood rapidly and noticed that his Dragoon Lance was stirring on his back; the dragoon inside wanted to help. Felix stuck his twin blades in the ground and then drew the Lance. He hurled it at Carnane who stepped aside but the Lance altered its trajectory to meet Carnane's left shoulder. The Lance itself caused pain but the real damage was done by the Dragoon's spirit passing through his body.

Carnane grasped his shoulder, gasping in pain. He needed to end this quickly. He drew as much power from the volcano's awesome power as he could muster, and he raised his arms high to the heavens.

"Earth Blast!"

With the power of the Earth spirits, Carnane rended open the volcano's face. Magma poured out, engulfing everything in its path, including the mortally wounded Felix.

Raahk!!! I need to get out of here!

The holy dragon descended from the skies and landed just long enough for the exhausted warrior to clamber on. As they looked over the scene, Carnane felt a pang of regret. Killing was never in his blood, but when his life was in danger, Carnane did what he had to. He prayed for the elf's soul, and flew back to The Arrow.

As Carnane took out the Dragoon Lance, Felix took his twin swords from the ground and rushed at Carnane. Felix rushed at him and jumped and then spun his body to the side, making him parallel to the ground, and started to spin. When he reached Carnane he struck at him while spinning with his left blade. Carnane easily blocked it with his right Falchion but as Felix kept spinning he struck with his dominant right hand. Carnane put up his left arm to stop it but he had to draw it back as the injury from the Dragoon Lance still lingered. Felix's sword kept on going and sliced off Carnane's right arm. Carnane staggered back onto the rim of the volcano but stopped before he got to close.

Despite the pain Carnane raised his left arm to fight but before he could move any more Felix had shouted, "Sacred Blade!" Carnane's stomach was impaled by the beam, which knocked him back further. Felix brought up his Ice Rune and channeled his power into it and froze Carnane's feet to the ground. Any other ice would have melted but the Ice Rune was of magical properties. Felix wanted to end his opponent's pain quickly so he put away his Magic Sword. And once again cast, "Unleash the Elements" but this time not to control fire, but earth. He broke the piece of volcano Carnane was frozen to and it plummeted into the volcano itself. Felix paid his respects to Carnane and then started the long trek down the mountain.
