Background:

Zain Bolton is part of a clan of warriors, priests and sorcerers known as "The Falcons". Zain was, even at an early age, seen by the clan as a future leader, the one who will carry on the fight for good and teach their ways of battle and sorcery. He proved this by becomeing a divine sword-wielder and spell caster. Learning the way of the Falcon Clan made him able to run with piercing speed and manipulate the wind with a single command, this made him one of few that was worthy of receiving a blessing from the Elder Falcons. But he had a dark secret..
Two years ago, he received his blessing of the Elder Falcons, this was known as the Falcon Blade. He told his parents Kraze and Mari that he would go out and explore Illuyad. He was then told of his demonic ancestry.
Zain was told by his father Kraze that his great grandmother was of demon blood, and that he was part demon, part human. This meant that like Kraze, Zain too was part demon. Zain was told of the horrible prediction made by his Great Grandmother..
“Any born of male, shall share my blood, my power, my evil.. There will come a time, where the whole of Illuyad will fall. By the hands of a full blood prince from my lineage”

Ah I choose the scene huh? okay then. Well, the scene I choose with be the Mountains of Ulterphane.

I can finally see for myself why Dr. Cox has a reputation for being a good RPer. This should be an interesting match.

OOC: Sorry I've been gone for the weekend, camping at the beach resulting in the most massive sunburn ever. Anyway I didn't know I have a rep as a good RPer but here goes...

Argoth groaned as he finished his strenuous hike up the Ultherplane mountains highest peak. After months of continuous attacks he hoped that he might be able to gain a chance too meditate and relax. Argoth sat down and crossed his legs, trying to calm his mind, but his thoughts wouldn't stop going to the figure that he had seen at every ambush. Who was this mysterious person? Did the person mean him harm? As Argoth was drawn deeper into his thoughts all of his mental warning bells went off at once, his eyes snapped open in time too see the same figure in the shadows once again. Even though he had hopes of resolving this confrontation peacefully Argoth doubted it would come to that.

"Ark I'm going to need you, come quickly but do not reveal yourself."

"You, in the shadows come out where I can see you." Argoth yelled at the figure.

The figure didn't move, Argoth drew Inishtar but resisted the urge to rush the figure. He didn't want to ruin the chance of having a possibly powerful ally.

"I won't ask again, please come out where I can see you."

OOC: I had written a decent piece of RP, and my stupid college computer didn't log me in properly, so I lost it all. You do not understand how f**ked off I am at this moment in time!!! I'm going to type it out on Word, then transfer it to here. I can't recall most of the things I had typed, so it might be worse than before.

EDIT~ OOC: I made it almost totally different, the things I could recall perfectly did not make sense with the details I could only just remember. I used them as a base and incorperated something new, and this is the result...
__________

Zain had been watching Argoth since he had started his hike, looming in the shadows and the fog of the mountains just waiting for a perfect opportunity to introduce himself properly to his adversary. Zain had heard of Argoth through his travels, and was told that he was a well established fighter, and that if he were to find him, that he would be wise to steer clear of him. This news sparked curiosity in the mind of the young half-demon, and he decided to make it a mission to find Argoth. Of course, Zain lurked in darkness to make sure that it was indeed the man he was searching for, and not a low level warrior with no more than a few gold to his name. His decision to follow proved to be correct; he had finally found the Dark Elf hiking in the Mountains of Ulterphane. After the final warning to show himself, Zain emerged from the shadow of an overhanging ledge. The tunic and boots he wore rattled with each step he took. As he approached, he did not draw his Falcon Talon in response to Argoth’s Inishtar, instead he stopped within striking distance of his opponent; a sign of confidence.

“I am Zain Bolton, Argoth. I have heard that you are a warrior that is not to be approached.” He spoke.

“They are correct in saying this.” Argoth replied with poise. “And you would be wise to heed their warning.”

Zain stared, “A man once said, ‘To fear your opponent, is to doubt your skill’. I fear not your sword, I fear not your skill, I fear not your name. I followed you in order to challenge you to a fight to the death. If you honour your life, and are prepared for it to be taken, then you will accept; If not, I have wasted my time…”

"You are over confident half-demon, and it was not wise to stand unarmed within the distance of my sword, but I am feeling generouse this evening so I will give you a second chance."

Argoth step a few feet back as Zain drew Falcon Talon,

"You are cocky and think to highly of yourself, I on the other hand know of your skill and know that it matches my own, If I plan on winning our confrontation I need to take some precaution." Argoth stated.

"Then you are either wise or truley frightened, which one I am not sure of, but we will soon find out." Zain retorted.

Argoth feinted to the left, then pulled a tuck roll to the right slashing his sword has he came up, Zain, not a fool to be played, blocked the swords then slashed back, trying to find a crack in Argoth's armor. Under the strain of Zain's attacks, Argoth knew that if he didn't get on the offensive sooner or later he would be dead, Argoth began to attack Zain with one hand while readying a shadow blast in his other. Zain, not seeing this, slashed at Argoth while his defense was down. The blows landed and struck Argoth on the chest.

"You were able to land a blow, but fortunatly for you I had protection. Unfortunatly for you it was just a distraction." Argoth exclaimed as he flung the ball of pulsing shadow at Zain's unprotected chest. Argoth then ran to Zain’s left and prepard to attack him with his swords.

OOC: Sorry that it's not very good, but I haven't really had time to prepare anything.

Zain fell back. Argoth’s attack wasn't strong, but was close enough to exert a considerable force, and was performed while Zain was caught off-balance. As Zain hit the floor, he rolled his body to absorb the shock and used the momentum to push off of the floor with his hands and land on both feet. He readied his sword defensively as he spoke, "I give you credit, Argoth. You are smart; I respect that in a warrior. But now is the time for me to step up a few levels… Wind of the Falcons, assist me in this fight!!!”

Zain swung down with his Sword, unleashing his formidable wind essence in a razor-like stream of air which a split second to reach Argoth, so stood there with little time to do anything. The wind cut through the leather breastplate effortlessly, but as a demonstration to his adversary. Rushing forth, Zain moved with immense speed as he slashed at Argoth, who blocked the attack and countered with a sweep aimed at Zain’s feet. Zain jumped, and swung down hard. The clashing metal rung through the ears of both fighters as their weapons met. Zain quickly followed up with a series of swings and stabs, all proved to be difficult for Argoth to block. He managed to turn defence into attack, and took advantage of a dodge he made on one of Zain’s stabbing attacks; causing him to be on the back foot of an onslaught.

Zain kept his nerve as he parried each attack, picking out a weakness. As the two locked swords once again, Zain found the opening he was looking for. “Finally!! Chaos Lightning!!” He cried as he rammed his right arm into the chest of Argoth and blasted him with his lightning attack through the slit in the armour.

"Shadow Armor!" Argoth exclaimed, as he yelled this a dark armor covered his body just barley blocking the lightning.

"You do have skill, but skill is not the only factor, luck plays her game as well. Now Ark, Cross Slash!"

A massive black dragon, at lest twenty feet from tail to nose flew out of the sky and landed in behind Zain. As he spun to counter the dragons attack, Argoth used regeneration to heal his wounds. Zain was able to bring his sword up in time to block Ark's slashing arms, but the strength behind the dragons blows was enough to knock Zain back onto the ground. Argoth used this second distraction to his advantage, he ran over too Zain's prone body and brought his blades down. Zain, only faking being knocked out, rolled and used the handle of his blade to knock Argoth's feet out from under him. While Argoth fell he shoved his blades into the ground and used them to keep himself over Zain's swinging blade. Assassin and Warrior stood, panting from the extertion of the fight.

"You have great skill, more than I expected, Even my best has not been good enough during this fight. All this can mean is that I must push harder." Argoth retorted. "It will be a pity when I have to kill you." He concluded.

Ark whiped his tail around while Zain was distracted and flung him into the air, Argoth to where his body would fall and positioned himself to stab when Zain was in front of him. But this would not be the end, Zain used his powers over the wind to push himself away from Argoth's position. Zain landed gracefully on the ground and lunged at Argoth slashing at him with his sword, Argoth blocked the blow with one sword and slashed at Zain's arm with the other, attempting to disable his fighting arm.

His left arm was slashed along the shoulder, just about deep enough to make him cry out in some considerable pain. Zain's eyes burned with intense passion, he felt as though the odds were stacked up against him now that Argoths immense dragon, Arkpaholain, was also joining this battle. Oddly, he didn't seem to mind this; to him, it was yet another obstacle to overcome in this increasingly difficult battle. Ripping the leg off of his pants, he wrapped the cloth around his clareted arm to apply pressure to the wound on his arm. Zain picked up his sword, dripping with his own blood, and wiped it on his tunic. "Now that we have proven our skills as equal, I shall expect no holding back from here on in." Zain bellowed, as he floated above the mountain top he and Argoth were battling on. He marked out an X-sign in a blazing inferno, then pushed with his right arm into the centre.

The huge X-Fire attack gave Argoth little space to evade, but skillfully he dodged the oncoming attack with relative ease. However, this ploy allowed Zain to strike again, "FROZEN BLITZ!!!" Zain roared as he approached Argoth with an orb of ice ready to strike. Argoth also bellowed, "Shadow Blast!! Now's your chance Ark, get him!!"

The conflicting spells caused a massive explosion, Ark rushed in through the smoke and perform a Cross Slash, but Zain was not at the end of the cloud of smoke to meet it. He appeared from the smoke directly behind Ark and whispered as he placed his hand on the dragon's back "Chaos Lightning..."

Ark was blasted with a heavy dose of thunder, and clattered on the rocky mountain floor. Zain rushed at Argoth and slashed with haste, cutting him across the leg. He punched argoth deep into the ribs as he stepped back, and whilst the winded warrior fought for breath, Zain followed up with yet another blazing X-Fire attack; Argoth lay on the floor, as did Ark. With a sigh of relief Zain dropped to his knees, through sheer exhaustion.

“We can’t stop now Argoth, we almost have him. Look at how he is on his knees, we almost have him.” Ark said.

“I know, he is very talented and it will be hard, but we can do it.” Argoth replied

Argoth used all of his strength to lift him self to his feet, He looked at Zain waiting for a response, yet he did not hear one. As he approached Zain Ark lifted himself and flew behind Zain, waiting for his master’s command. “So is this where it ends? Will you strike me down like a coward, while I am weak and on my knees?” Zain mumbled. “No I am honorable in my kills when those receiving my blade are honorable themselves.” Argoth walked next to Zain and placed his hand on his shoulder, “Regeneration!” He yelled. Zain felt strength fill his body and he rose to his feet. “Why would you help your enemies when you could defeat them?” He questioned. “Because as I would rather die in honor than kill in shame.” Argoth stated. “I hope this final dance of death will be great for each of us.”

Argoth leapt back and slashed with Inishtar, while Zain blocked Argoth drew Ralin and his Ice dagger hilt to hilt. Zain released a stream of lightning towards Argoth hitting him in the arm. “An eye for an eye, an arm for an arm.” Argoth yelled as he threw another shadow bolt at Zain’s arm. Both of the two warriors were disabled and tired, yet still evenly matched, yet Ark was there to help his master. “You will not win young warrior.” He growled at Zain as he slashed at his leg. Due to Zain’s tiredness Ark was able to land a hit and slice open his calf. Argoth walked towards Zain slowly,

“You see Zain, An assassin is not a ruthless thug, an assassin is an artist, each death like a beautiful work of art. Like a beautiful song comes to life, so a beautiful life comes to die. An assassination is a masterful combination of skills and abilities coming together in harmony, leading to the most final crescendo of all…Death.” Argoth threw Ralin and the Ice dagger at Zain, he was able to dodge the Dagger, but Ralin found its way into Zain’s leg. The poisons coated on Ralin’s edge began too seep into Zain’s bloodstream, weakening and slowing him. “Fro..zen..Bl…it..z,” Zain mumbled weakly flinging the ice orb at Argoth’s body. Argoth step to the side and walked to Zain, “I respect you and most enjoyed our encounter, but alas as all good things must, it shall now end.” Argoth picked up his dagger from where it lay and slit Zain’s throat, one deep and swift cut ending his life quickly. “I hope you may make peace with your spirit in the after-life.” He said as he used closed Zain’s eyes.

Argoth mounted Ark and the two of them flew off the mountain,
“Rest well young warrior, master is expecting you.” Ark growled.

Zain struggled for breath has his opponent stirred on the ground. Thoughts raced through his head as to overcome this. Zain showed much promise and skill in this contest, but with two opponents to face, and little energy left in him to fight with, it was clear that the battle was not in his favor. Struggling for breath once more he tried to stand, but even this simple task proved difficult. Zain struggled to one knee; only to be met with the eyes of Argoth. "So, I guess my end is now Argoth..." Zain sighed as he awaited a seering pain through the heart, but it never came. Finally Zain rose to his feet, thankful but confused. "You could have killed me there and then Argoth. Why did you not do so?" He asked. Argoth placed his arm on Zain's shoulder, "It is not my way to kill you in that way. Anyone who proves their skill against my blade deserves to die in a noble and honorable way." Argoth was about to heal Zain, but was stopped. "No, I do not want you to heal me, for I have one more thing left to show you..." Zain stepped back, looking up at the sky as he continued. "I call upon the power within, Frozen Talon, give me the energy I need to carry on this battle. Lend me your spirit!!"

Zain's aura began to glow around him. A fantastically bright blue field surrounded him, somewhat rejuvinating him as the spirit of the one he helped free gave him all the energy he needed to carry on, and much more. Argoth gasped as he uttered the name of Frozen Talon, before smiling to himself. "You truly are the greatest warrior I have encountered, Zain." Argoth mustered all of his might in a ferocious onslaught on his opponent, using both Ishintar and Ralin to combat Zain and his unleashed power. However, the half demon's new found energy enabled him to block every attack with minimal fatigue and begin to strike back with more speed and power than ever before. Argoth blocked the attacks as best he could, but his Ralin was forced out of his hand, and with no time to draw his ice dagger he was soon subdued; taking slashes to his chest.

Zain stepped back and bellowed "Winds of the Falcons" whilst he swung his Falcon Talon vertically in Argoth's direction, then slashed at the air creating yet more razor-like winds that Argoth could just not find the energy to avoid. "ARK, HELP ME!!" was the cry before each blustering scythe tore into the armour and through Argoth's flesh. Ark responded immediately and slashed Zain across the back with his arms. Zain turned swiftly and blasted Ark with a powerful Frozen Blitz, sending the dragon off the edge of the mountain and landing on a ledge 200 feet down. Spinning back to Argoth, he caught the end of the cold metal sword across the chest and down along his left leg before stepping back before a powerful swipe from Zain's weapon could strike him in return.

Warrior and assassin stood 50 feet apart, weary and bleeding, not moving an inch for a long period of time. "This appears to be the final blow, whoever lands it will be the victor here." Zain commented. Argoth nodded, he was too focused to speak. The combatants began to rush forward, swords held forward. Zain announced "Swift Falcon" and with blinding velocity, rushed forth into the oncoming sword, delfecting it away from his body in passing and stabbing Argoth deep in the back. Argoth fell to the floor, lifeless.

He decided to pay homage to his honorable opponent.

"Your Valor in combat, and the honour you showed will always stay with me. I hope that you felt that you died in the way you would have hoped, and that you did not feel cheated that I won. May you accept my appreciations for the battle we had, and may you also find happiness in the void beyond this world. I am glad to have faced such a capable opponent."

Zain walked back down the Mountain of Ulterphane, thinking of the intense battle he had.
