I'm very excited to announce that we are going to have our very first RP tournament. The winner gets a *GIFT* and the non-winner's don't get anything. Level-ups WILL be awarded for this tournament for each round. Simply post to sign up. After I get enough members, this tournament will start.

NOTE: Andi, myself, and Danny will judge the matches. We will be very un-bias and fair. Also, please note that levels DO NOT applt in this tournament. Only skill. Finially, only one pet may be permitted, and whoever goes first selects what kind of arena they wish to fight in.

Well, at the risk of SPAMing up the thread, it seems that the only time anyone really posts here is to talk about the latest pokemon they caught/why rap music sucks. The Travelers (Which I've asked if someone can summarise for me, allowing me to get back in at least once) hasn't been posted in since May 20th and by the looks of it has become pretty desolate. So if it were alive or I had a reason to post, believe me I would.

Indeed that was a good piece of RP, I enjoyed every sentence. I don't want someone to "chicken out" as such, but it'd be nice to have a crack at a few of the big guns.

As you can tell, I'm no longer the type to doubt my abilities.

Where I am in my ability is due to many people. AtO, Kevin and Matt Von Doom are given major credit for putting the majority of the fun factor into RPing. Danny and Valreki are given major credit for updating profiles and giving me storylines that encourage me to think about situations and consequences that you don't get from open-end RPing. RipTide and AngelicAura are given credit for their constructive critisism.

I'm thinking of having you replace Matt von Doom.

Everybody, I will be using a coin-flip to decide the order of things. Based on who is first on the list and who is second, they are assigned a side of the coin. For example, I am heads, and ~Caboose~ is tails. I will flip a coin, and whoever goes first is the one who's face turned up. However, the person who did not win will choose the kind of arena that they will battle in.

I've taken the liberty of beginning your fight from a judging perspective.

Ok, I've written up some information for the fights. If you would edit this into the first post, that would be great Luke.

Format
Each battle will take on a 1-2-1 format. This means that each person will post a total of 5 times before a winner is decided by myself or Luke. Here is a simple break down of the format.

1
The first one denotes an intro post. Each person is to post one of these. An example would be "Danny wandered through the boiling desert...". Your job is to elaborate on this, talking about your surroundings. The second person to post will do something similar. Each post should be roughly a paragraph long.

2
The 2 denotes attack posts. Each person will post 2 of these. In this case, each battler is to make a post, one after the after, describing an attack based on one of their techs or abilities. For example,
X: "attack with..."
Y: "counter with..."
X: "..."
Y: "..."

Each post should be roughly a paragraph long.

1
The final number denotes the kill post. Each person will make one of these, in which they "finish off" their opponent. Even though you may have been killed, you still are to make your kill post. For example,
X: "X looks at a weakened Y..."
Y: (Ignoring previous kill post) "Y..."

Each post should also be a paragraph long.

Judging
The judging of the battles will be done by myself or Luke. In the event of both of us battling, another person will do this. As judges, we are looking for the quality of your posts. We are looking for detailed and descriptive posts rather than a simple "X attacks Y". Your kill post will be one of the main factors in our judging. One person will be assigned to each battle only.

I didn't learn that from college classes :P... But you are right, it doesn't, but that was just an example of when I used something like that in RP. Well, now that you mention it, I can't think of anything off the top of my head that I can use in RP, but I'm sure that when the time comes I will be able to use something that I have learned.

And the fact that I've been also babysittting a two-year old with down syndrome for the last two days doesn't help. I'll try to get something up tommorow. My sister is going to her Dad's for father's day.

All I can say is that I am disappointed that you can not RP due to school, but maybe in another tournament (hopefully one in the summertime, around mid-August) you can show us your skills.

Mid August would be great. I'm going to be out for around 12 days of July on holiday, and when I do get back I have school.

These are mid-year exams and I need to focus on them. I'm sure you'll agree they're more important.
