Well I've been meaning to start one of these for a while. Now that things are slowing down until exams, I guess it's a good time to start. So... I'm 14 and in 8th grade. I live somewhere between Washington D.C. and Baltimore. I lived in Baltimore for 11 years until we moved out here. Coming from Baltimore, this place is the smallest town I've ever seen. I hated it at first, but I'm growing to like it now. Now that I think about it, it really isn't even that small. Oh well. There's something like 19 days until graduation, and I can't wait to get out of this school. Out of 29 kids in my class, I'll probably keep in touch with two of them: my girlfriend and a kid who's going to the same high school as me. I'm friends with almost all of my class, but I never really formed strong bonds with any of them. I really don't even like most of them that much.
Lacrosse season ended last week. Our team was HORRIBLE. One of our best players got injured and was out for the entire season. And two of our other good players were suspended for starting a fight in one of our games. The rest of our team was a bunch of beginners who sucked ass. Thank God I'll be playing on a much better team next year, even though I probably won't play much. Our high school is top 10 in the nation every year. Even our freshman team is insanely good.
I can't wait for this summer. It's going to be awesome. I was suppowed to have a job, but it turns out they hired more people than they needed so they had to cut a few people. I was the first one on the chopping block. Oh well, it leaves more time for me to relax and work out. I'll spend most of the summer pumping iron for football. I'm too damn skinny. I need to bulk up a sh!tload by late August. Other than that I'll be at the beach, pool, lacrosse camps, football mini camp, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a few days. I'm going to be busy as hell, but I'll have a good time.
Well I have to translate a passage from the Aenead for my Latin class by tomorrow, and I haven't even started it yet. It'll probably take a few hours so I'm gonna go now. I'll probably write again sometime within the next week.

Welcome to the forum. I guess John Hopkins has to have a player pool come from somewhere.

Yeah if you ever watch a lacrosse game or read a lacrosse magazine you'll see(or hear) that they often talk about college teams and their "hot spot" players. The "hot spots" they mention are New York and Maryland. I can name a lot of famous lacrosse players that I either know, met, or went to my school.
So uh... Today was pretty generic. It's spirit week, and today was pajama day. Sounds like a sh!tty idea to show school spirit if you ask me, but I'm not complainin. I'll take all the out of uniform days I can get. Tomorrow's wacky tacky day, but I'm just going in a T-shirt and shorts.
Our eighth grade class generally has a lot of traditions at our school. I've only been here for 3 years so I could care less about all of these traditions, but the people at my school like them so I guess I'll be going along with it for now. We had an eighth grade play which was actually pretty good this year compared to all of the other ones. We did High School Musical which really bothers me because I hate the Disney movie. Well it turns out that since they loved our play so much we're singing one of the songs at graduation. I'm really not up for that.
Well I've got some other stuff to take care of so I'm gonna stop writing now. Thanks for the comment, Majin.

Well its been a few days since my last entry, and I have a handful of things to write about.
Wednesday was field day. I've never paticularly liked track and field, but I did well. I've always sucked at running. Running in sports is more of my thing. I came in first place in the High Jump, second in Javelin, and third in the 800 meter. Field day sucked this year. We only had serious events. There was nothing fun at all. They took out the tug-of-war and all of the fun events.
Thursday was a long day. I went over to a friend's house to tutor him and one other kid for a Latin test we had today. We didn't get much studying done though. I helped them review over the information for the test, and then we played lacrosse and guitar hero until I left.
Today I had a Math test and a Latin test. It really bothers me that teachers feel the need to fit one more test in the week before exams. Oh well. I think I did really well on the Math test, but I'm not too sure about the Latin. I'm going to see the new Pirates movie tonight. It's going to be sooo crowded. I know the movie isn't spectacular or anything, but I'm hoping it's at least decent.
I'm so pumped for the NCAA Men's Lacrosse finals this weekend. We've got Duke v. Cornell and Delaware v. John's Hopkins on Saturday. I'll be gone from 9 or so in the morning until 10 at night. It's going to be insane. We'll go up to tailgate and hang out until the first game starts. Then we're watching both games and going to a friend's house in Baltimore to eat dinner and play more lacrosse. I can't wait.
So I beat Expert on guitar hero on Wednesday. It really wasn't too hard. Psychobilly Freakout took me a while to get, and Freebird took forever because I'd play 6 minutes of the song and fail on the solo. I think it's really good for just getting the game a little over 3 weeks ago.
So I'm off to go do stuff now. I'll post my review of Pirates 3 either tonight or tomorrow morning. Peace.

Well exams start tomorrow. I've got two Thursday, one Friday, and two Monday. After that I've got some ceremony thing on Tuesday, and graduation on Thursday. I'm so excited to move on to high school. This school is so easy its a joke.
So Green Day and Smashing Pumpkins both released new songs. Green Day's isn't neccessarily "new" because it's a cover, but I'd consider it a new song. I like it better than Lennon's version, but it isn't great. I think my band might cover it sometime this fall or winter once the hype has died down. Tarrantula (god that's spelt wrong...) is alright I guess. I don't know what to think of it really. I've heard it twice on the radio so far, but I'm going to download it as soon as I have some time to take a break from studying.
The lacrosse games this weekend were AMAZING. I almost crapped myself at the Hopkins v. Duke game since I'm a pretty big Hopkins fan. Duke didn't deserve to win that. Everyone was saying that all that they've been through was a reason for them to deserve a win. That's BS in my opinion. GO HOPKINS! I really wanted Cornell to beat Duke, but Duke was clearly the better team in that game.
I also realize my review of Pirates 3 never came. I liked it a lot. It wasn't the best of the three, wasn't the worst. All in all it was a great movie, and I'd see it more than once.
So I ordered my new phone yesterday. It was time to upgrade, and my phone had just broken. I'm getting a Sony Ericsson W300i. It's free after a mail-in-rebate and it plays music which I'm excited about. It'll come Friday or Saturday.
