I never had the taste for racing in shooter games.

As for the band I'm in, we're called Kawaii Shigai (Cute Corpse in Japanese)
it's my friend's live band basically, well, that's how it was set up.

Initially it was just me and 3 other guys going to a Dir En Grey concert in November, and since we all played different instruments, my friend Danny came up with the idea of just playing around on occasion. I'm officially the bassist but in our first written song we did I play guitar and our guitarist Andrew plays bass. I've been playing guitar for like 4 years, so its not like it was sudden or anything. ANYWAY we've written one song so far, and covered stuff by Nirvana and Cancer Bats, I do vocals occasionally along with David. I created a compilation of our hilarious practice days if you all are interested in seeing it.

You never told me you were the bassist lol. I thought you were the guitarist this whole time.

Azthris

:chuckle:

I'd like to see that compilation if you don't mind. Just send an email or PM to me in your own good time if you want.

Rocket Race is fun, at times. But sometimes I get frusterated when I fly right through the goal (by getting shot) yet I don't get credit for it and the team behind me does.Really? Well that sucks. That happened to us like five times and we got credit for it... =P

I've been playing guitar for like 4 years, so its not like it was sudden or anything. Well, that's news to me. I didn't even know you played an instrument. I play guitar also, been playing for a year or so now.

Since we are talking about instruments I might as well say I play baritone in marching band. Hehe we might actually first this year if those bands in the south stop bribing the judges *cough*

Well most recently we've decided to kick the drummer out, he's just been a total drag the whole time. We plan on going for a more free style of music, not settling on any certain type of music.

As for the compilation's of hilarity, here's a link to it:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZ11PyEpOxg

And here's a link to our "first song" that I wrote the guitar riff's to:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTUxg_HHZQg
I have a better recording on the way, we didn't sound check last time, so the bass can't be heard at all. I'm on guitar though.

The Kittle One
September 28th, 2008, 01:17 PM
You kicked out Danny? Are you going to get a new drummer?

Saint!
September 28th, 2008, 03:23 PM
OH, I mean Andrew, the blond guy, we kicked him out. He played guitar but in the last practice he played drums

Cody.
September 28th, 2008, 05:13 PM
If only I could get my so-called 'band' together sometime and just play around, a group of my friends and I wanted to start up a band but, either no one has time or not everyone can meet.

Sounds good though, except the fact that the drums muffled the rest of the instruments.

Saint!
September 29th, 2008, 07:56 PM
Yeah well the other recording had nearly the same results, our amps are so pathetic. However in the compilation Documentary you kids can hear me sing, that's a rare sound.

Hi, I'm new here, and I like Halo, can I join?

Azthris
September 30th, 2008, 08:56 PM
Pretty much as long as you stay around and post in here your in. Welcome. :^:

I didn't watch both of the videos entirely, but the second one's music was pretty good even with the sound recording issues (I'm, dissing your microphone on the camera), as well as you guys aren't fully equiped with top-notch gear.

Lokifox2
October 1st, 2008, 03:33 PM
Ok, thank you, but I have dial-up, so I'm not going to get on very much, possibly, we may be getting dsl soon.

The Kittle One
October 1st, 2008, 08:18 PM
I never had the privilege of dsl. We jumped straight from dial-up to high speed.

Saint!
October 2nd, 2008, 05:31 PM
Well aren't you special.

Yeah I haven't been able to even practice since our guitarist (who owns the drumset) is moving to a new part of town, so despite me actually bringing in my gear so you can hear the bass, absolutely nothing has happened.

Anyone know anything about that new campaign thingy on Halo 3?

Azthris
October 2nd, 2008, 09:11 PM
What new campaign thingy?

Do you mean the trailer, the cryptic Keep It Clean (http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&cid=15574) one? It might not necessarily be a new campaign DLC, I don't know.

Saint!
October 3rd, 2008, 10:50 PM
Yes, that would be the one. What's this whole Drop business? I swore it mentioned something about campaign mode

Lokifox2
October 5th, 2008, 04:21 PM
I've heard something about this, does it have anything to do with the new maps?

The Kittle One
October 5th, 2008, 05:18 PM
It does mention campaign on the marketplace if im not mistaken.

Azthris
October 6th, 2008, 10:15 PM
There might be a campaign DLC coming out, but I didn't read anything about that and I've looked at their updates almost every week for something interesting. As for Multiplayer maps, there will be one for sure coming out in the upcoming months (Confirmed, the map is named Assembly), and maybe 1 or 2 more with that (unfonfirmed).

The Kittle One
October 8th, 2008, 04:58 PM
Yeah I saw that some of the new achievements involved the map assembly or other "mythic" maps.

Saint!
October 11th, 2008, 11:36 AM
Yeah I heard about it too. One of them is more sandbox-themed, but that's all I really know. So have you all watched that video on Halo 3 Marketplace that features real people fighting as marines? It's kinda old but I think it was supposed to show the marine aspect of Chief's crash landing.

Saint!
October 12th, 2008, 08:06 PM
Got some new info on the Halo 3: Recon thingy

its actually going to be a disc-based expansion pack, as far as I know the only thing in marketplace that'll be new will probably be new Mythic Map Pack which should come out early 2009
H3:Recon will come out Fall of 2009, you play as an ODST on New Mombosa, that whole thing that happened in the beginning of Halo 2...it'll also be 4 player co-op however you can't be Marines in multiplayer.

However this may be the last Halo thing bungie does.

Cody.
October 12th, 2008, 09:02 PM
Are still able to annihilate anything in the back with one blow or have any of those 'superhuman' strength like abilities like good 'ol master chief?

The Kittle One
October 12th, 2008, 10:08 PM
Yeah, will you have a wimpy jump and not be able to lob grenades a football field? Also, I wonder what Bungie will work on after they are done with halo.

Azthris
October 13th, 2008, 04:44 PM
They said they are done with the Halo trilogy. Now that the Flood are presumeable gone, whats the need for the word Halo if they're purpose is fufiled?

Ohh, and the video with the people playing as Marines and stuff was released about 8 months ago. I thought I had posted a link to it, I guess not.

As soon as any significant Halo news comes out I'm there.

Saint!
October 13th, 2008, 06:20 PM
Yeah I know the video came out a long time ago, I was just wondering what ever really happened with that. I dunno if Bungie can handle straying away from Halo more than a year or so before they come back into it.

As for the hitting and jumping, I have no idea.

However here's an extended version of the Keep it Clean trailer
Brand spankin new. (http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&link=ournextgame)

Azthris
October 14th, 2008, 05:16 PM
Ohh and that. I watched it less than an hour after it was released.

The musical elements were different, but still pretty cool. The graphics were really good, I hope that by next fall they might have a new upgrade to their already outstanding graphics engine.

Thanks for showing the rest of us the video. :P

October 14th, 2008, 05:54 PM
Yeah I was doodling around with my gamertag on there. Amazing how they have data on freakin everyone on Halo 3.

The Kittle One
October 14th, 2008, 09:41 PM
Yeah there is a lot of good stuff there. I am sorta getting back into halo. I am not really having fun in those ranked matches though, just a little to much pressure of losing a rank for me. Also, the level of playing is a lot more competitive. I may just stick with social and custom matches.

Saint!
October 15th, 2008, 04:35 PM
I wish zombies had its own playlist, I freakin love zombies. Like...if halo never had that, or people never played it, I probably wouldnt play halo 3 that much

Azthris
October 16th, 2008, 09:10 PM
With a good crowd and level, Infection can be REALLY fun. I haven't played Halo 3 for a while, but just the thought of zombies made me incredibly eager to play it again. Thank you.

*vanishes to find an Xbox 360*

Cody.
October 19th, 2008, 01:20 AM
Heh, infection is pretty fun. It's pretty creepy too, knowing that a supposed undead spartan in lime green armor is out to get you. :paranoid:

Saint!
October 19th, 2008, 11:13 AM
Yeah the suspense is half the fun, sandtrap is definitely an infection-friendly map

Azthris
October 19th, 2008, 12:41 PM
Sandtrap with a lot of people is fun. One time I spawn killed a team and got an Untouchable in a super long killing streak. I think I got Hell's Janitor and Killionaire and a few other in game medals that were pretty sweet. I had fun at the time, but then I just stopped after getting so many kills because it was cheap. I could easily win a game that way, but that wouldn't be very fun now would it?

The Kittle One
October 19th, 2008, 02:51 PM
Don't you also remember also those terrible sandtrap variants we played Saint? All of which consisted of either a human base where they could just camp(usually with a turret at the door) or a floating base that again had a turret faced at the teleporter up to the base as well as snipers and a nice vantage point of the zombie spawn.

Saint!
October 19th, 2008, 04:40 PM
I prefer to remember the good ones, not the Malachi ridden ones

The Kittle One
October 19th, 2008, 04:57 PM
Lol. I wonder if he even still makes maps...

Saint!
October 21st, 2008, 03:09 PM
You'd know better than I would.

Azthris
October 21st, 2008, 05:05 PM
I remember I forged a sweet race map on Foundry with a friend online and tons of people played on it (about 8k downloads) then someone else slightly changed something in the same race map, and said it was his, and he got even more downloads. Want to know how I know? I made friends with some kid a month later, then I joined a custom game with him and his friends and we played on my original race map but with that kid's name on it... That kid aslo happened to be in the same party as me at the time aswell...

Saint!

Never thought I'd hear about plagiarism in Halo 3. Typically though, the Bungie Favorites are possibly the stupidest things ever to be featured weekly, when has one ever made you laugh or be in awe? They constantly fail to be anything other than embarrassing.

Azthris
November 9th, 2008, 12:37 PM
A few months ago some of them were awesome. They were awesome. Now I look at some of them and frown.

Saint!
November 12th, 2008, 09:41 PM
I don't recall many being that good, they had good aspects, creative stuff. But often it became too base-oriented and overall boring gameplay. Usually I figured mine or Kittle's were the best of quality, who knows, maybe that's what everyone thinks.

The Kittle One
November 13th, 2008, 03:03 PM
Nah most people like the same old same old type of maps, then again I don't really play often anymore so who knows.

Saint!
November 16th, 2008, 06:18 PM
Well so long as the humans have a base people seem to be thrilled.
Typically it's a drag to be a zombie, and the only motivation one has to kill humans is to end the round so they can be human.

Am I that crazy to want people to have just as much fun being a zombie as being a human?

Azthris
November 18th, 2008, 05:02 PM
If its a well setup game and match, I'll want to be a zombie to inflict terror into the humans. But yes, some maps fail when the humans don't have a very good base.

The Kittle One
November 18th, 2008, 05:48 PM
Most maps fail because the human's base is TOO good.

Saint!
November 18th, 2008, 08:39 PM
Yeah, always an overabundance of turrents, rockets, and grenades all stuck in some difficult to get to corner. I remember I made a map that was nearly wide open, so it was challenging to survive. Almost like Left 4 Dead, its a fight, not a hunt.

As for the RP, are we all where Etticus is? It didn't seem like it but I suppose anything can happen.

So far as I know we're on hiatus, but sure, lets go with everyone's meeting up in the jungle-like first mission of halo 3

Azthris
December 2nd, 2008, 07:28 PM
Were still with all the old characters right?

Would you care if I made a new character because I forgot what I old one's name was.

Saint!
December 20th, 2008, 02:57 AM
Yeah I really don't care, lol, we're dying.
