Hey all you guitar players: what settings do you have on your amp, and what kind of sound do you get out of them?

After much experimentation/input from other, more experienced guitarists:

Gain: 10
Bass: 5
Mid: 6
Treble: 7
Reverb: 0

I get a very warm, full, modern rock tone with this. I like the idea of the more metal kind of distortion, but when I try it out, I just can't stand the lack of mids.

Mine tend to hover around...

Bass: 7
Mid: 3
Treble: 8.5

With plenty of chorus and delay (my preferred combination, I must admit) it gives a very bright, smooth clean tone... I wouldn't have it any other way.

What do you use for your chorus and delay?

First things, scratch that previous message :D. This thread inspired me to actually think about my settings for once... now we're looking at:

Bass: 8
Mids: 5
Treble: 7

Much better. As for the effects, they're just built in to my practice amp. I'm far too much a student to consider parting with cash for non-essentials right now. I do plan to raid the Electro-Harmonix range in the future though...

Apparently, you're not the only one who hasn't given it much thought, given the underwhelming response this thread has gotten.

Anyway, I found this thread on another forum that talks all about settings and other junk: Settings thread (http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=294480). It's pretty interesting stuff.
